Okay, okay. If you don't like it so much why don't you suggest another topic related to both urban legends and WWE?

Um...

people suspect Owen Hart's ghost makes visits at Kemper Arena? That could possibly work.

What a fantastic idea! Thanks! I love ghost stories. Could be a touchy subject through because last paper, I demonstrated the things WWE has in place regarding safety, (Don't Try This At Home, Wellness Program, etc) and it might be hard to explain Owen's death without looking like a liar. Any ideas how to approach that? I was not into WWE at the time of the tragedy so I would need a more veteran fan to help me out in that respect.

is this for a college course or highschool? cause to be honest im surprised the professor/teacher actually accepted a topic on professional wrestling.

my professors would just laugh in my face if i approached them with a topic to do with pro wrestling

It's for a college English course. We can choose our topics so long as it fits within the guidelines and she has liked my papers so far because I seem to write better when I am writing about a topic I am interested in.

well if thats the case then you could go with the ghost thing, although it wasn't WWE fault, its the harness companies fault for making shitty equipment

if anything i would go with a view point of "even though pro wrestling is fake the backstage politics make it anything but" just like all the shoot videos and movies that are out there about it

Yeah, thanks. I wanted to do the ghost thing but I was unsure where to take it without making it look like it was WWE's fault, since there was a wrongful death suit filed. Does anyone know what company made the harnesses for WWE?

Well glad I could help :D

It wasn't WWF's fault (as said above) the harness is what fucked up. The only thing they had to do with it might be putting him in such a risky situation. Definetly do research on everything and you'll find more with the magic of google.

I know people who went (I was 4 at the time) and my friend said that he may of fucked himself up when he tried to move his head.

And as for what harness company...I have no idea...that's going to be hard to find out.

I think that WWE Superstars know the risks going in and if they feel that they don't want to do something with their safety in mind, they have the opportunity to voice their concerns at the creative meetings so I don't hold WWE responsible at all. I've seen a lot of stories about Owen but none that give the actual specifics of the fall and the incident. Like the feet in the air, the time that he died, the time that he fell, etc. I think I would need that to get started. Thanks to everyone for all of their help!
