His matches were uninspired and he followed the same match script (doing the same moves at the same point of every match) and never put anyone over. Except Bobby Roode in a ladder match, he did that job.

Now I have lost all hype for his return, Well at least we have younger talent in WWE and TNA to steal his spotlight

Exactly. I hated his deal in TNA, but assume he will get over pretty decently well in WWE. Just don't put a belt on him.
