Introduction Got some inspiration from Looch's "A Major Noob BTB" and am going to be booking the British Wrestling scene - with a draft taking place between RevPro, ICW and Progress to spice it up and not give me a handpicked roster. Picked quite a small roster, with the intention of only booking one show per calendar month. I will be using JOW as the base for the project and expect it to prove to be quite the challenge.

It was announced at the beginning of the show, that an eight-man tournament packaged as the ‘British Heavyweight Invitational’ would take place during the evening which would see the crowning of the new British Heavyweight Championship within this new era of RevPro. The fans were also informed that four non-tournament matches would take place, that would include two women’s matches that would determine who would challenge for the British Women’s Championship at Epic Encounter.
An opening contest would see veteran LuFisto take on Italian Di Matteo in a contest that would test the younger talent, but ultimately LuFisto would claim the win and prove popular amongst the fans in the G-Live.

The first match in the British Heavyweight Invitational would prove to be a tense encounter, with both men equally impressing. It would be Welsh talent Andrews who would score a win by hitting Ilja with True Force (Package Piledriver).

Walter and Thatcher would partake in one of the best contests of the evening, with both men beating the living crap out of the other that would leave both men gasping for air and showing signs of real exhaustion. With the big Austrian claiming the victory by striking Timothy with the Burning Lariat to advance and book himself a Semi Final match against Andrews.

Seven and Devlin would clash in another great contest, with the tournament really proving to be a success amongst the fans and it would be the member of Moustache Mountain who would pick up the victory and advance to the next round.

The match between ZSJ and Pac would prove to be massively popular for the British fans, with it being fair to say that both men were arguably two of the biggest names to have come out of Britain in recent years and neither man would disappoint with fans left wondering what might have been if either man had not been set to face each other in the first round. The contest would end with Pac countering one of ZSJ’s submission and instead rolling him over with a schoolboy to advance and set up a match with Trent Seven later on in the night.

The first qualifier would be a driven contest, with Niven and Owens going at each other like wild animals and booked herself a championship at Epic Encounter by laying out Owens with the Viper Bomb.

Walter would show strength and stamina, despite his testing contest with Thatcher earlier in the night and chop the absolute crap out of Andrews in the contest leaving his chest scarlet red and looking physical mutilated as he would be flung to the floor and forcing him to tap by locking in the Gojira Clutch - and by doing so booking himself a place in the evening’s main-event.

The match between Pac and Trent would prove to be quite disappointing and both men were unable to gel, and the fans would seem to grow bored of the contest, with Pac seeming to finish the match perhaps earlier than expected as he would force Seven to submit by locking in The Brutalizer.

Hayer and Dawn would actually feature in the worst of the three women’s matches that would take place during the evening, with Hayter almost seeming frustrated by Dawn at times and some of her shots would seem to be more shoot shots and less of a work, before eventually folding Dawn over with a DDT to secure a future championship match against Piper Niven.

The penultimate match of the evening would be a hard-fought contest between Gresham and Janela, with two men of very different styles looking to beat the crap out of each other. Gresham would utilize his mat and technical ability, whilst Janela was much more interesting in show his hardcore wrestling style and would claim the match by showing off his no fear attitude by launching himself off a ladder and smash down on top of JG with a Diving Elbow Drop.

The night’s finale would be a thrilling contest between Walter and Pac with both men showing their true determination and desire to become the British Heavyweight Champion. The match would prove to be quite the spot fest, with the match ending with the fans on their feet as Pac would launching himself off the turnbuckle with the intent of taking out the Austrian with Dragonrana only for Walter to have pushed himself back up and wiped out ‘The Bastard’ with the Burning Lariat to end Pac and crown himself the first British Heavyweight Championship within this new era of RevPro.

At the start of the show, WALTER would confirm that he was most impressed with Timothy Thatcher at New Year’s Revolution, and he had decided to give Timothy the honor of being the first man to challenge him as the new British Heavyweight Championship.
Brookes and Mastiff would open up the night and entertain the fans, without having to break the bank and the contest would end with Brookes forcing Mastiff down with a pin with One More Round (High-angle legtrap crucifix pin)

Leading up to the event Di Matteo and Melanie Gray had been involved in a war of words on Twitter, that had resulted in Gray challenging Laura to an ‘I Quit Match’ at Portsmouth Guildhall. Di Matteo would prove to be the much tougher woman though and would force Melanie to say the three words by lashing the crap out of her back with a fan’s trouser belt.

Ilja Dragunov and Joey Janela would have a heated moment backstage, with the two men confirming themselves as entrants in next month’s British J Cup. Ilja would make it clear that Janela better hope they don’t meet at any point during the tournament bracket because he would enjoy teaching the high school drop a lesson in respect. Joey would just laugh Ilja off and make it clear that Dragunov was nothing more than a nerd in need of a reality check.

The tag team contest would prove to be interesting, although Katey Harvey was very much the weakest link in the contest. After claiming the win, LuFisto and Killer Kelly would seem to share a few hostile words before celebrating their win on separate sides of the rings.

El Phantasmo def. Oney Lorcan
El Phantasmo and Oney Lorcan would both impress, and although the match wasn’t off the highest standard both men would entertain the fans and pull off an array of their signature moves with ELP claiming the win by spiking Lorcan with Sudden Death (Superkick).

Gallus (Coffey Brothers) as the team with far more experience as a pairing would prove themselves as the far more capable team with Mark finishing off Aspen Faith by dropping him on his head with a Brainbuster.

Pac and Mike Bailey would be standing backstage, with the Brit announcing that he and ‘Speedball’ would be forming a team to go by the name ‘Beauty & The Bastard’ and that this was more about having someone to watch his back than necessarily challenge for title gold. The pairing would come off as a bit of a miss, with the fans seeming to not understand why Pac was associating himself with Bailey.

The contest would really turn up the heat for the evening, with Gresham bringing the very best of ZSJ. Zack though, would prove himself as the more capable submission expert and claim the win by forcing Gresham to submit after locking him in Article 50 (Cross armbreaker).

Pac would also impress in his match with Andrews, clearly letting off some frustration of failing to become the British Heavyweight Champion at New Year’s Revolution and would claim an impressive victory over the Welshman by forcing Andrews to tap after locking in an Inverted Crossface.

The contest for the vacant British Women’s Championship would be marred with controversy, after Hayter would Curb Stomp down on Niven’s knee which she had tangled within the bottom rope and the impact of the move looked as if it had broken her ankle. Hayter would follow up by locking in the Ankle Lock that would have Piper tapping in seconds.

Walter and Thatcher would feature in another great contest, which would prove to be fitting of a main event contest - try though Timothy would end up having his night come to an end when Walter would connect with the Burning Lariat to secure the victory. After the bell, Walter would make it clear that considering how impressive Pac had looked this evening he was offering him a shot at the belt at Summer Sizzler.

The British J Cup would be packaged as a tournament to uncover a rising star within the British wrestling scene - and that only matches taking part in the tournament bracket would feature during the event.

LuFisto would feature in an angry promo in which she would make it perfectly clear that she felt that Jamie Hayter had deliberately broken Piper’s ankle with real intent of putting ‘The Viper’ on the shelf for good. LuFisto would make it clear that she was coming for the British Women’s Championship because it shouldn’t be held by someone who had no respect for her fellow athletes.

Dragunov would have Aspen’s number throughout the contest, with the Russian talent claiming the victory by spiking Faith with the Torpedo Moskau (Flying Headbutt).

There was no doubt in anyone’s mind that the match between Brookes and Bailey was the MOTN and it would prove to be an absolute spot fest and certainly not the match that anyone had been expecting. ‘The Speedball’ would claim the victory by nailing Brookes with Ultima Weapon (Shooting Star double knee drop).

‘The Bad Boy’ would show the young Australian absolutely no respect and very much solidify himself as a heel during the match by slapping Fletcher around and treating him like a rookie and would finish the contest by hitting him with a Package Piledriver to advance to the next round.

Devlin and Gresham would feature in another standout contest, with the British J Cup really rewarding the fans with another unexpected excellent match that Devlin would win by nailing ‘The Octopus’ with Ireland's Call (Firemans Carry to an Emerald Flowsion).

WALTER and Thatcher would run into each other backstage, and WALTER would make it clear that if Timothy ever wanted to face him again then he was really going to have to step up and improve himself, because his performance in their second match had disappointed him. Thatcher would make it clear that he wasn’t going to play into WALTER’s mind games and was only going to focus on himself and he wasn’t going to be drawn into the champion’s mind games.

Ilja and Bailey would feature in another great contest, with either man having multiple opportunities of walking away with the victory. Dragunov would claim the win by pulverizing Bailey with a Buckle Death Valley Driver to book himself a place in the evening’s final.

The match would be a struggle, with Devlin seeming unwilling to be drawn into Janela’s game which would cause the early portion of the match to suffer. Janela would break the rules to gain an advantage by sliding a chair into the ring, only to punch Devlin in the dick with the referee distracted to roll Devlin up in a schoolboy pin to claim the win and book himself to face Ilja in the evening’s final.

The night would end in great fashion with Janela and Dragunov pushing the other to their limit in a contest that brought a certain level of prestige with the British J Cup on the line. The contest would be a barn burner, but it would be Joey who would claim the win by kicking Ilja square in the chest, before leaping up onto the ropes and spring boarding off nailing Dragunov in the back of the neck with a Diving Elbow Drop to be crowned the 2020 winner of the British J cup.
The issues between Di Matteo and Gray had continued on social media and it seemed that nothing had been settled following their match at Epic Encounter. The two women’s beef had continued ever since and the night would open with Laura being attacked in the middle of the ring by Gray as she was about to cut a promo, with the two women breaking into a fight that would spill to the back. The fans in attendance at the York Hall, seemed less than impressed with what they were witnessing.

The opening contest would end up being the best match of the evening and just fall short of a five-star classic - with Bailey involved in the MOTN for the second event in a row. Andrews would be no spring chicken either, with both men having great chemistry with Bailey picking up the win by hitting Mandrews with Meteor Rain (Avalanche Fallaway Fisherman Buster).

The contest would serve as means to further the feud between Phantasmo and Lorcan, whilst at the same time keeping Janela and Dragunov on the card. The contest would end with ELP spiking Lorcan to the canvas with Greetings from Camwood Park (Double underhook piledriver) with it noted that Ilja didn’t seem bothered enough to throw himself into the ring to make the save.

Gresham would run into Zack Sabre Jr. backstage and suggest his loss to ZSJ at Epic Encounters had been a fluke, but tonight with his long-time tag team partner Chris Brookes. Zack would make it clear that such a notion was hilarious and that not only would he pick a random partner, but he would enjoy nothing more than to slap the crap out of the Calamari Catch Kings.

LuFisto would prove to be a great challenger for Hayter and help not only put Hayter over, but also help to give the Women’s Championship some extra prestige as the first holder of the belt within this new era of RevPro.

Devlin would come out as ZSJ’s partner and it was clear mind games, considering he had beaten Gresham at the British J Cup. Devlin would pick up the win by wiping out Brookes with the Slingshot Cutter.

As WALTER was leaving his locker-room and heading towards the ring, he would have his path blocked by Joey Janela who would just stare him down before chuckling to himself before stepping out of the way and allowing the big Austrian to make his way down to the ring.

The match would be a replay of the main event of New Year’s Revolution and once again Pac would really push WALTER to his limit, in a contest that proved itself worthy of the evening’s closer. Pac would come close to winning, but WALTER would show his resilience and claim the victory by obliterating his foe with the Fire Thunder Driver (Jumping Reverse Piledriver) to successfully retain the British Heavyweight Championship once again.
WALTER would demand a microphone and make it clear that Joey Janela was next, but before he faced him for the belt at High Stakes, he first wanted to see what it was like to tag with a mad man at Global Wars next month.

WALTER and Janala have a heated exchange, in which the champion agrees to defend the belt against Janela at High Stakes. WALTER informs Joey that he wants to see how good he is firsthand and reveals that tonight for one night only they will team up to take on the pairing of Dragunov & Thatcher.

The feud between Gray and Di Matteo would continue, with more experienced partners on their side. Gray would finally claim a win over Di Matteo and with LuFisto aid would finally be a victor in her feud with the Italian.

Isla Dawn was very much of her depth and the match would suffer because of the lack of chemistry between the pair and the raw lack of ability that Dawn brought to the match. The fans would seem somewhat revealed when Hayter would hit Isla with a Piledriver to end the contest and retain the British Women’s Championship.

With a lot of combustible elements there would be a lot of interesting spots as well as pin and submission breakup that would create a very chaotic environment. The contest would end with ZSJ nailing Fletcher with the Sabre Driver and the Brit would continue to be making a real name for himself with RevPro.

Three fairly impressive teams would clash with the chance of becoming the first Tag Team Champions within this new era of RevPro and all three teams would have their moments to shine. The finish would come with Mark Coffey dropping Chris Brooks on his head with the Brainbuster to seal the victory and confirm the Coffey Brothers as the new British Tag Team Champions.

Despite the clear lack of respect for each other, Janela and WALTER would work well together in an impressive manner and would complement each other’s opposing styles in order to claim a victory which would be achieved by WALTER laying out Dragunov with the Burning Lariat before Janela would follow up and dive on top of the Russian with a Diving Elbow Drop.
After the match, WALTER and Janela would stare each other down with it now being known that the two men were set to compete for the belt at High Stakes.

The match would be a much closer contest than the first encounter, but it would Niven who would walk away with her hand held high after flatlining Owens with the Viper Bomb.

After the contest, Jamie Hayter and Niven would have an intense moment in the ring and would have to be pulled apart by a team of referees and security before the situation got more physical.

The British Cruiserweight Championship would come of the shelf for the first time since the new version of RevPro had come forward and two impressive stars in Bailey and EL would put on a high speed and intense spot filled contest that would end with Phantasmo leap off the turnbuckle and hit the Thunder Kiss ‘86 (Frog splash) to become the new Cruiserweight Champion.

Pac would interrupt WALTER in a pre-match workout in the gym area and inform the British Heavyweight Champion that he hoped he was on his best form tonight, because otherwise Janela was going to take the belt from him. This would just result in WALTER laughing and instead making a mockery of the fact that ‘The Bastard’ had lost to Dragunov at the UK Grand Invitational Tournament which would almost result in both men trading blows, before PAC would walk away and compose himself and make it clear that he had big match to focus on tonight.

The Six Way Scramble would prove to be a really exciting contest and with a stacked line up the fans would not be disappointed as the match would be electric. ZSJ would be the standout man in the contest though and would go on to claim the victory by forcing Thatcher to tap out by locking him in the Young Boy Killer (Double leg-trap chickenwing inverted facelock).

Hayter would continue her run of dominance and claim a resounding victory over Jinny to remain control of the Women’s Championship with the Falcon Arrow Backbreaker.

After the match Jamie Hayter would cut a scathing promo about Isla Dawn and label her a coward for walking away from RevPro, instead of just licking her wounds and learning from her title loss. She would proceed to introduce Killer Kelly and Kasey Owens as her new allies - with the trio to be known as the Hayte Club.

The clash between WALTER and Janela would be the MOTN and be well worth the wait as both men would beat the crap out of each in a truly hectic match of high stakes that would see both men left bloodied and looking exhausted with both men looking dejected as the bell would be rung and single the match had come to an end after reaching sixty minutes and ending in a time limit draw.

Rev Pro would announce that for the second year in a row, the 'British Heavyweight Invitational' would serve as the first event of 2021. It was also confirmed that Rev Pro would continue to follow a schedule of one event a month - although it was rumored that the promotion had plans to extend it schedule sometime in the future.
After winning the tournament - losing finalist Janela would return to the ring with the British Heavyweight Championship slung over his shoulder and cut a short promo in which he said that nothing made more sense than putting his belt on the line against El Phantasmo at Epic Encounter.
