The Black Machismo gimmick

I was a big fan of "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal's gimmick a year ago, but honestly I think it is starting to grow stale. Gimmicks like this don't last forever and I think that Black Machismo is starting to near it's experation date. Sure, its still over, but will Lethal ever be taken seriously with this gimmick? The answer is no, and after a nice long year with it, I think its time that Jay Lethal goes back to being Jay Lethal. Black Machismo was fun, it was entertaining, but its run it's course and its time for change, hopefully TNA realises this soon and brings the old Jay Lethal back.

It should end when Sonjay turns on Lethal, we all know he will.

I wouldn't exactly say end the gimmick. Sure, it isn't as over and fresh as it was when it first started, but what gimmick is still fresh after a year of happening straight? There's only a handful of guys that can pull it off, and all of them are potential HOF'ers, if not already in. But yeah, they just need a new direction. Maybe a heel turn in the future is what he needs. I doubt I would like it much, but you never know.

I think it's done after Slammy...I say there's many different ways to bring Jay Lethal back...maybe have him take some time off & say he's getting back to his roots or something...

Yea i agree, no more Black Machismo, back to the old Jay Lethal. I never liked it to begin with.

Why does every one think Sonjay will turn heel, How better to keep his gimmick fresh than to turn Lethal heel after Sonjay tries to keep his gimmick fresh.

He needs to stick to the Black Machismo roots but branch off into his own thing, much like John Cena off the rapping gimmick, he needs to find his nitch and evolve.
