Show is one of those, where, if I see a match he's in and I hear it's 6 minutes or less, I can basically get excited no matter who the opponent is. I think sometimes he can come off as "just a super heavyweight" instead of a giant, but still, right before the bell even rings the story is there and his opponent's task is obvious. And when he does felt like a giant, every single thing his opponent does needs to matter and contribute to their own offensive build up. Unless he's against a big chunk who can also slug it out with him, which, again, also interesting right away. I feel like a lot of his better matches just get underrated because people don't like big dudes unless they face the Undertaker. Show/Snitsky from Unforgiven 2005, Show/Lesnar from Judgment Day 2003, Show/Cena from Smackdown in 2009, and ESPECIALLY Show/Guerrero from Smackdown in 2004 (I legit think this is one of the best matches of the decade tbh) were matches I either had to find myself or hear of from people who "dig" more, even though most would have watched them all. At least everybody came around during the Henry, Bryan, Sheamus feuds in 2011-12.

I'd wager his WCW work isn't always as good, but there are some definite winners. I was recommended his match with DDP at Starrcade 98 not long ago and couldn't believe how good I thought it was. One of WCW's biggest shows and nobody ever talks about it, maybe not helped by Dave Meltzer rating it THREE QUARTERS OF ONE STAR. Had a hell of a match with Flair in 96 on Nitro from what I remember seeing it ten years ago. Also, his two minute match with Meng on Nitro in 1998 is like the greatest thing to ever exist in history ever for all of humanity and whatever which any other species created in all of their history and beyond time and afterlife.
