This could have been much better if they didn't almost destroy the meaning of NXT with it. It's supposed to be if you lose GTFO, but they are coming back just because Vince doesn't want to let anyone go. It was a great way to end Raw, but this makes NXT seem pointless. Though this may be a one time deal for the eliminated rookies, if it isn't, NXT is complete bullshit.

This was ONE of the best angles WWE has had in a while. The only other thing that comes to mind is the "I know longer consider you my partner, and I no longer consider you my brother" storyline. Seeing full blown babyfaces destroy things was shocking, but seeing bullshit (hai Heath and Tarver) was indeed bullshit.

The storyline I think they are going into is one that keeps a few Eliminated Rookies (Bryan, Gabriel, Otunga etc) on the roster. Maybe make Bryan continuously attack the Miz leading to a PPV match keeping him on the roster. Otunga persuaded Bret Hart into giving him a contract. Maybe a contract on a pole match. The point is, I think this will lead into keeping a few Eliminated Rookies.

I have to agree about it being the best angle in 5 years. It just annoyed me that the crowd just stood there. If I was there Id be cheering my ass off! Anyways yeah, Really excited to see how there gonna pull this off.

If they got a similar appearance other than just the bands they wear, They could be great. We just gotta wait and see where it goes from here.

A bunch of nobodies beating up Cena, who half of which look like fucking blueberries who will never get anywhere in the business, (hi Heath Slater and Darren Young) is the 'best angle in 5 years'? Rofl? Talk about an overreaction to something UNPREDICTABLE that the WWE did.

Completely disagree, to make a "nobody" SOMEBODY, you need to run angles like this to make them look badass. Prior to what we saw last night, the NXT rookies were a bunch of geeks, but all it took was one angle to make them look like a dominating force you don't want to fuck with. Hell, even Justin Gabriel looked good after the 450...

Its all about good booking, and in this instance, the booking made these guys look like a threat which is why the angle is so good. You guys cry about wanting young stars, well here they are and unlike what we see 3/4 of the time, these guys are actually making an impact.

The question is how many young guys are going to get a real push. Remember guys like Lashley, Kennedy and Umaga...they all got Big pushes and look where they are now. You have to push the right guys. (see Lex Luger)

Anyways...anyone else see this leading to NXT 1 vs. NXT 2 in the future? or as early as tonight.

They have to do something different with NXT Season 2. Ratings are going to plummet down even farther if it's the same old lame "random competition" crap as last season. I hope they do some kind of NXT 1 vs NXT 2 or something. A season 1 rehash with different characters would be pretty unwatchable.

::sigh:: The one time Cena should have destroyed everything in sight. So seriously... what the hell is the point of the show if all of these schmucks who were eliminated are STILL THERE. Way to make the prize of winning the show seem special. So are ALL of the NXT rookies heels now. Are we supposed to care about them AFTER the fucking show is over?

^^^ similar to what I was thinking. The way I look at it is that we now have 6 or so heels that no one really gives a crap about. What's going to happen after this angle? I'll tell you: the fans are going to realize guys like Tarver, Skip, Slater are annoying as fuck with weak characters and pretty soon that's a handful of future endeavors. It discredits the second season of NXT because now the mindset is that "we're going to see all of these guys on RAW or SD anyway so why bother?" no doubt it was entertaining but who benefits? Barrett doesn't get shit he already had which is good heat and the rookies will go no farther from this.

Only problem I had with this angle is that Barrett doesn't stand out. He won the show and now, as of right now, he blends in with the rest of the rookies, the same rookies who he beat to win NXT. Sure it's a pretty cool angle, I am just afraid they hurt the purpose of NXT if they don't utilize Barrett better here. Atleast have him be the leader. I don't want to say they screwed something up when the angle just began. I will sit back and see.

As for best angle in 5 years? Well I would definitely put it up there. If you are saying from 2005 until now. Only angles that really stick out to me are Batista/HHH and Cena/JBL's build up to WM21, HBK and Angle in 2005, HBK and Hogan in 2005, ECW Invasion in 2006, DX's entire run in 2006, RVD's cash in in 2006, as much as I hated it, have to say Battle of the Billionaires, Flair and HBK, Jeff Hardy being WWE Champion, Orton punting McMahon, Triple H invading Orton's house in 2009, HBK and Taker in 2009, DX vs. Legacy, and HBK vs. Undertaker in 2009. There has really been some awesome moments and angles, this one would definitely join the group. It was shocking, unexpected, and just a total WTF moment. Justin Roberts looked like he was getting raped.

Let's not forget the painfully obvious flaw of why the fuck the guy who just beat out all of these other guys to prove himself better is now teaming with them.

Not just with Wade Barrett, each rookie talked so much shit about each other, why they would team is beyond me.

Did anyone else notice Michael Cole to be nowhere in sight during this? Sure he might have just ran away like a pussy, or the whole skit with Daniel Bryan was a front and he is going to have something to do with this group due to his heavy influence on NXT.

Forgot to mention that. The entire thing is seriously flawed. Lmao@ it being the best angle in 5 years. Beating out Y2J/HBK, JBL/HBK, Cena/Batista, Punk/Rey. That was just within the last two years. I don't want to get into 5.

I thought the scene was good, but the whole randomness of beating up Cena I wasn't buying much. How many times have top stars failed to beat him up for like 5 years and he just comes back and owns everyone? Also, like I said before, it's talentless, Blue looking people like Heath Slater who kinda discredited it for me. It was still good, though, let's just see how they follow it up.

To be honest, I would have no problem with the group if Slater would leave... Other then that, I liked it. Everything from start to finish was awesome. It looked legit and it was awesome. Just Heath Slater please die.

Well, I think they're making the geeks like Slater the lower level part of the group, with Barrett and Danielson as the leaders.
