I've just recently managed to catch two weeks of Raw in a row now for the first time in a little whole and only caught glimpses of the first Authority run, but I echo most of you. The fact they were only recently disbanded and brought back so soon is a sign of short sighted booking for the WWE, which is not uncommon.
I can say I would have preferred to see Seth Rollins thrive on his own rather than continuing to have him rely on his alliance while they're hyping him as the future. I feel like it's getting to the point where they're not making him look dangerous if he isn't being crutched by Triple H and Steph. I always hate when they do things like this with young up-and-coming heels.
And it seems like Heyman and Brock would potentially have some reservations about the World Title match at Royal Rumble being a triple threat. On one hand, the numbers are on the favor of The Authority but Rollins is clearly after the belt and is competition for Brock. It's more Brock's style to want to eliminate anyone who might be a threat to his title.
All that being said, I think Cena could win the gold at RR, and that's when Rollins is going to cash in. Then in the aftermath, either Brick or Seth will leave the Authority and kind of change the direction of the alliance.
