K, well I hardly ever watch ECW, so I havent had a chance to see Mike Adamle...
But what happened to him?
I know he still commentates, but is he still a mistake every two words type guy?
And also, what happened to them makign him a heel and intentionally pissing off the fans? Cause last night, first time I saw him in months, he seemed more of a comedy character, just meant to be stupid
Anyways, has that gimmick been dropped then?

He still says a few stupid things now and again but it's gotten less severe. But yeah... they're pretty much running with the comedy character aspect now I think.

I've said it before and i'll say it again: I think, in reality, Adamle actually knows everything he needs to know to be a great commentator, and this whole "I don't know who that is but he just hit a great jumping leg kick on John Moserin!" thing is one big gimmick that will lead up to something. We all know Vince likes to purposely degrade ECW with the inexperienced superstars, less impressive setups, and half a timeslot, but even he wouldn't hire someone who had never watched wrestling in his life to be the commentator.

Most of his slips are names anyway, and they probably have to do with either backstage nicknames or real names (like Mike the Miz). But one of my favorite Adamle quotes is when he found out that "The Tazz" had never been in a Singapore Cane Match:

"Well how about you and I have a Singapore Cane match on our own." ... or something like that. "Jamaican me crazy" is already a classic and I like the occasional "Unos, Dos, Adios." I however do not like "HAVE MERCY!" because, come on, it's WRESTLING! (plus it's ECW)
