Yea I know I can't be the only one who read the Herion Diaires, Nikki Sixx was fucked up back in the day like horribly. Plus I got the Motley Crue poster hangin right behind me.

I can't stand Motley Crue as musicians but the Heroin Diaries and The Dirt were both highly entertaining. Though I found the Heroin Diaries kinda fake. There was definetly some editing going on there.

Weather or not people like them Sixx AM was dope like if you listened to the messages behind the songs they were REALLY really deep. Most of it had to do with the Heroin Diaries too.

Josh Matthews

Basically the whole Mexican hotel/midgets/cocaine/hookers/murder/con deal but with Josh 'Da NoseBleed' Matthews in the mix. Grisham may also have a heart attack upon arrival at the scene of the crime in an attemt to merely drop off some fresh towels.

Hornswaggle

Get's bad-aids thanks to some twisted back-stage shenanigans with Mini-Me the week before last. Although, before he dies they'll probably infect Chavo live on Raw for yet another cheap pop.

If they only once managed depth in their songwritting having consumed THAT much smack for THAT long... It was an accident.

Maybe Keith Richards but not Slash. It's hard to imagine anyone beating Nikki Sixx od'ing on heroin and nearly dying, running out of the hospital and going home and od'ing again.

I think I read in Slash's book that he also overdosed and his heart also stopped. Could be a case of one upsmansip, but Slash still partied hard like fuck. He used to carry a pendant around with cocaine in it. And Nikki Sixx is a fucking horrid bassist anyways.

Keith Richards is the fucking man. He cannot die, he sleeps upside down :D.

For example 90% of the songs by Beatles, Doors, Hendrix, Marley. Just to name a few.

Most of the best songs were influence by drugs.

Drugs + musicians does not automatically = good music.

They may help creative juices flow for some, but if those juices aren't there to start with then as I said, you're effectively in the realms of an 'accident' (acheiving the quality ratio of the Beatles, Hendrix or whoever isn't the same as Crue managing one set of decent lyrics in a 10-20 year career.)

There's thousands upon thousands of self indulgent bullshit albums out there that scream "I made this on drugs".

No but his statement still stands true. Much of the best rock and roll music of all time was likely made while high.

...Just took the statement as effectively debating my previous post.

I'm not kick some anti-drugs stance here... They're awesome, it's just that money, work, friendships, life and sanity all get in the way. : P
