So, Lewis Hamilton this weekend broke Michael Schumacher's all-time Formula 1 win record this weekend.

Hamilton has now won 92 Grand Prix races beating Schumachers 91 which is a record that many, many people thought no one would get anywhere near, never mind break.

It proves that all records can in reality be broken.

My question is what Sporting records do you see that stand at the moment as near enough impossible to break first of all. BUT if there was gonna be someone to break that record who do you think it will be?

I don't think anyone in my lifetime will score 100+ in an NBA game. If I had to bet my life on any sports record not being broken, it'd be that one.

Also 7 sacks by one person in an NFL game will probably never be duplicated, I don't even remember who has that record just that it's insane lmaoooo

It's easily either Wilt's 100 or Bill Russell's 11 NBA Championships as a player. Like mentioned, the game is so much different that I don't think anyone will match Kobe's 81; let alone 100

Rickey Henderson's Stolen Bases Record

Anyone who knows anything about that record should know that Rickey Henderson is legitimately baffling as a human being. The man stole EVERYTHING.

For reference, Ricky Henderson has 1,406 career stolen bases. In his 25 years as an MLB baseball player, that's on average 56.24~ stolen bases per SEASON. The closest anyone has come to Ricky Henderson's best stolen base record season (1982 with 130, 2nd All-Time behind Hugh Nicol's 137 SB season in 1887) in 20 years after that, is Vince Coleman... thrice, in 1985, 1986, and 1987. To put that into perspective, Vince Coleman led the league in stolen bases three years in a row... and still only cracks 6th All-Time.

Vince Coleman was conceivably the only man in modern baseball that could have topped Henderson's stolen base record, but here's the kicker. Coleman only played 12 seasons. Henderson played 25. Vince Coleman, in order to beat Henderson's record, would have to have played at the same production for another 13 seasons. That is utterly insane.



Wayne Gretzky's Career Points and Assists

Wayne Gretzky's career points and assist records will literally never be broken as long as any human being alive lives. Wayne Gretzky's points are so massive, that you can take away his entire points scored via goals, and he will still smash the record with ease thanks to his assists alone. The next man up, Jaromir Jagr, has a mere 1,921 points in his entire career, whilst Gretzky has a whopping 2,857 points. The man, the myth, the GOAT will literally never be beaten.
