I thought Shawn's actions made sense and were completely justified from his point of view.
A lot of folks said that Shawn's actions weren't justified or that DB's actions (kicking HHH in the face) were completely justified and that Shawn should have, I guess, laughed it off. But that viewpoint isn't taking into account all of the realities we were given leading into the match, namely the reality that Shawn and HHH are best friends (both IRL and kayfabe). How many of us will stand by our friends even when we don't like what they've done? If my friends, my family, etc., are wrong, I'll call them out for it behind closed doors and we might argue and fight about it, but, if anyone else attacks them, I'm siding with my people. That's all Shawn did.
As for "screwing Daniel Bryan" out of the title or this being a "screwjob", I think some of you need to re-think that. What part of last night makes you think that Daniel Bryan didn't know what was going to happen? What part suggested this was not part of the script? Daniel Bryan isn't on his way out of the WWE. Daniel Bryan didn't stand in the ring spelling out "TNA" or "ROH" with his fingers afterward or tweet out that he's quitting the company in the wake of the show. Daniel Bryan is now and will continue to be one of the top guys on the roster. He will be WWE Champion, just not yet. I have a sneaking suspicion that we'll see him having a more direct involvement with HHH for the next little while than with HHH's corporate champion. And that he'll walk out of Wrestlemania as WWE Champion, just like Stone Cold usually did.
