I thought there was a possibility that HBK would do something to cost Bryan the match before it started so I wasn't surprised. However, it remains to be seen if HBK did it simply because Bryan attacked HHH or because he is starting his heel turn and was doing what was "best for business". Hopefully tonight's RAW will help sort that out a bit more.

No BLFFL said it was so predictable, but that she was pissed with the outcome. Sorry, should've quoted her.

Nah man, my bad on that one. :haha: Have her on ignore so didn't see her post and wouldn't have seen your quote.
Didn't consider BLFFL actually posting in the middle of another thread. That never happens.

Thanks though. (Hey, mods, wonder if there's something cool you can do with this?)

I thought it had a cool side to it, I find Shawn taking DB out because Bryan hit HHH with the Knee something that was really realistic (would the guy stand by his friend or just sit there?) and had some character depth, you know, something that's normally lacking in wrestling. It was fine.

I thought Shawn's actions made sense and were completely justified from his point of view.

A lot of folks said that Shawn's actions weren't justified or that DB's actions (kicking HHH in the face) were completely justified and that Shawn should have, I guess, laughed it off. But that viewpoint isn't taking into account all of the realities we were given leading into the match, namely the reality that Shawn and HHH are best friends (both IRL and kayfabe). How many of us will stand by our friends even when we don't like what they've done? If my friends, my family, etc., are wrong, I'll call them out for it behind closed doors and we might argue and fight about it, but, if anyone else attacks them, I'm siding with my people. That's all Shawn did.

As for "screwing Daniel Bryan" out of the title or this being a "screwjob", I think some of you need to re-think that. What part of last night makes you think that Daniel Bryan didn't know what was going to happen? What part suggested this was not part of the script? Daniel Bryan isn't on his way out of the WWE. Daniel Bryan didn't stand in the ring spelling out "TNA" or "ROH" with his fingers afterward or tweet out that he's quitting the company in the wake of the show. Daniel Bryan is now and will continue to be one of the top guys on the roster. He will be WWE Champion, just not yet. I have a sneaking suspicion that we'll see him having a more direct involvement with HHH for the next little while than with HHH's corporate champion. And that he'll walk out of Wrestlemania as WWE Champion, just like Stone Cold usually did.

I thought it was good besides the fact that HBK totally missed the sweet chin music. I wanted him to land it with some authority

People really are suggesting it was a screw job? Wowzers, that's remarkable. Look at it this way, HBK totally missed the sweet chin music and Daniel Bryan still hasn't gotten up.

I'm sorry but if my friend does something stupid and gets atacked by someone else because S/HE did something like that. You let them get whats coming to them, because they won't learn otherwise. If I was in the situation HBK was in, You'd do your job first, then get revenge second.

That match he had with Hogan was a real....seller :jeritroll:

People always say that he was fucking with Hogan, but I don't think so. I've seen tons of youtube videos that are like "LOOK AT HBK OVERSELLING FOR OLD MAN HOGAN LOLOLZ", but I think he was making Hogan look like a superhero out there, which Hogan is supposed to be. Maybe I'm wrong, I haven't seen the match in some years.

What did you guys think of Shawn taking out Bryan? I thought it was an atrocious ending since it appears that Shawn didn't take a side. He just took him out because Bryan took HHH out which was completely justified for so many reasons in kayfabe land. Awful imo.

If of course this does lead to a Shawn turn then it's okay I guess, but yeah, what did you think of it?

Shawn(looking at script..)"Uhh, ok.. at the end of the match I hit Bryan in the head with my feet. Wow, *that's* original.. Who writes this stuff?" He shouted at the writers.
