I decided to throw a title in the mix for my alliance.

PbpI9en.png

And while I was at it, I figured we'd get a quick look at Big Japan since they are my child company. Bear in mind that I keep a large portion of my own roster stowed away over there so they're truly competing for both promotions simultaneously, hence the huge roster Big Japan has.

HQdMz2h.png

And I figured rather than showing the roster, I'd show the stables because they tell the story fairly well of the makeup of the roster.

7U9OoCt.png

Very loose alliance kinda just comprised of the spare faces that have some renown.

oTPKZoV.png

Crucial stable in my eyes, partially because they're just kinda cool, partially because AKIRA has been the Deathmatch Heavyweight Champion for over 1000 days and also partially because both AKIRA and Martyr are guys that I consider primarily Big Japan talents, but I use them semi-regularly and plan to one day make them WCPro-focused.

IfoRLTE.png

Obviously Strong BJ are like the lifeblood of the company so this is a crucial group. SAGAT and Shlak have a lot of success as a team as well.

hivDUpN.png

This is a much less serious group but still pretty significant in terms of the names and talent level. This is basically's TAKA's group to look after.

0aF8Gqh.png

This group came together just by me acquiring pillaging ChocoPro when they died, and I also hired some new guys from Zero1 and I just kinda cobbled them together in this group.

rY0VeiC.png

Project Havoc are a leftover group that was pretty much a failure in real life, and much like real life, they lost their leader (So Daimonji) in the game so I reshuffled it to make it a a real heel menace group led by YOH and Eita, serving as that classic "outsiders" heel faction, with the lore basically being that Ender Kara turned on So Daimonji to reform the group with the new lineup.

2af4veN.png

Soldier Temple is a group of heavy hitters, they're basically just the most neutral, honorable alliance in Big Japan. They're just holding shit down.

NKCbj1s.png

Z-Tactical are my most outlandish group and just like High Adrenaline kinda centers around TAKA's mentorship, this group is under the tutelage of Emi Sakura, so unsurprisingly they have a generally goofy vibe. That said, Ishikawa is a former Junior Heavyweight Champ and both Brookes and Soto are pretty high up the card. Suruga is also a pretty big player in the women's division.

Now, to give a pretty good idea of how the power structure in the company is, here is the booking team and inner circle, which you'll notice is a fusion of Big Japan stalwart, ChocoPro gang, TAKA and Tankman who is my world champion and man on the inside as far as I'm concerned. :lol

lsItWMF.png

So yeah, the company has definitely shifted to a more colorful style, especially since it's like a 1/3 joshi now and nearly half American :lol But I still try to keep em stocked up with hardcore, brawling types.

And for the sickos, here's their top 20 matches they've done, apparently all of which have happened under my ownership.

Only a matter of time until you break that 80 and then the 90 match ratings

Well I'm not directly booking this company, they're just my child company now. But, either way, it's something that could be attainable to me, especially if I just wanted to go out of my way to make it happen. But I'd like to get there by organically booking up to matches I think will bang ans then letting it play out lol. Right now my highest rated is an 82 so we're getting there.

Beginning work on The Death of McMahon database. Here's the basic idea for the story rn:

WWF's Story in January 1992:

The WWF is in a state of flux; the longtime owner of the company, Vince McMahon, died suddenly in a car accident in November 1991 after the Survivor Series. Control of the company went to his wife, Linda McMahon, and his son Shane. Coming into 1992, the World Wrestling Federation is by far the largest and most popular wrestling company in North America, yet its position has never been weaker. Hulk Hogan has been the figurehead of the company for nearly 8 years now, yet Hulkamania is showing signs of potential derailment. Fans are becoming agitated with his victories and in spite of his popularity, there's becoming a clamoring for younger and new talent. Hogan's main rivals in the championship picture are The Ultimate Warrior, Sgt. Slaughter, The Undertaker, Jake Roberts, Earthquake, and the most important of all: Ric Flair. In addition to the loss of its owner and Hogan's waning popularity, the WWF has skeletons in the closet that are soon to become public. Contracts are coming up in a few months after WrestleMania, and the potential for the WWF to lose its biggest stars to other competitors looms large over the company. Will WWF be able to weather the coming storm and create new main event stars?

WCW's Story in January 1992:

World Championship Wrestling has lost its biggest star. Ric Flair signed with the WWF in December after a falling out between him and WCW Vice President Jim Herd. Flair had been the head booker for much of the early 1990s, but clashed with Herd over creative decisions. It came to a head in August of 1991, when Flair went to Turner Broadcasting (owners of WCW) and declared that either Herd was fired as Vice President, or Flair would quit WCW. Months of a political standoff in the company ensued, and in the end, Herd was fired, but it came too late, and Flair quit anyways. Now with Kip Frey at the helm, WCW has an aging roster that lost its biggest star, and now needs new big faces to bring some positives. Ricky Steamboat and Lex Luger are the two biggest stars in the company now with Flair gone, with Sid Vicious, Vader, and Arn Anderson rounding out the main stars. Yet the midcard and tag team division has little to offer. WCW needs some fresh blood brought into the company, and quickly, or else their precarious position as the #2 company will collapse. Can WCW survive this setback, bring in new stars, and grow into a new era of competition for the company?

AWA's Story in January 1992:

The American Wrestling Association is the oldest independent wrestling company in the United States, and is considered one of the Big Four of US Wrestling. Verne Gagne retired from promoting the AWA in 1987, while remaining nominal owner. Now running the front office is Greg, Verne's son, and a hotshot announcer with big ideas: Eric Bischoff. Together, Greg and Eric brought the AWA to brand new heights, renewing AWA's key broadcasting deal with ESPN for another five years, creating a high quality main event scene, and reinvigorating the product to compete with the WWF. AWA's biggest stars are a veritable who's who of technicians and flashy wrestlers: Randy Savage, Curt Hennig, Rick Rude, Larry Zbyszko, and Nikita Koloff. In addition, the tag team division and midcard has loads of potential, but are full of rough diamonds and potential superstars. In spite of this, the AWA suffers from the reputation of stringent finances and slow moving storylines, which leads many to believe that they are inferior to the other competitors. Can the AWA overcome its current financial woes, bring in new fans, and expand its viewer base across North America?

USWA's Story in January 1992:

The United States Wrestling Association is the youngest of the major promotions in North America, having been founded in 1987. It is the merger and union of three regional groups: Jerry Jarrett's Continental Wrestling Association, Fritz Von Erich's World Class Wrestling Association, and Bill Watts' Mid-South Wrestling. Fritz shortly retired from wrestling after the union, with Watts serving as CEO, and Jarrett as head booker. With Watts' transformative broadcasting ideas, and Jarrett's classic Southern "rasslin'" ideologies, the USWA was a smash hit in a majority of the Southern states. The company's major stars are figurehead Jerry Lawler, up-and-coming superstar Sting, Ron Simmons, Jim Duggan, and Kerry Von Erich. The Tag Division of the USWA had also recently gotten a major boost with the signing of the Midnight Express in January 1991 from WCW, consisting of Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey, managed by Jim Cornette. The Midcard additionally has some great pieces like Jeff Jarrett, Eddie Gilbert, and others. Can the USWA keep up its slow momentum to compete with the bigger fish of the North American Wrestling Pond?

Very nice overview. Bischoff getting an actual shot with the AWA is certainly intriguing.

The idea preceding it too is that Gagne slipped ass backwards into Savage on the recommendation from, of all people, Jarrett and Lawler, and then a Savage/Bockwinkel/Hennig feud between 1986-88 did monster numbers on ESPN and later PPV, and then Bischoff signed Rude after he left WWF in the Summer of 90.

Then of course USWA has Cactus Jack, Terry Funk (who left WCW in 1990), and co.

AWA also touts a partnership with AJW, with key talents like Aja Kong, Bull Nakano, Akira Hokuto, and others as part of their women's division.

Noice, Big Japan crowned Chris Brookes as the inaugural United In Fight Globetrotter champion. Excellent pick, especially because I like booking Brookes as it is.
