Happenings: The Big 3
WWE:
Ricochet got a bad knee injury in early February, taking him out for quite a while.
Ronda Rousey divorced her husband in mid-February after several affairs dating back to several years were revealed. She's also become quite unpopular backstage for demanding to be treated as the MVP of the company.
The Empire is dead, long live the New Empire! Mid-February saw Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman oust the Usos, and join forces with Miz and Morrison, Chris Masters, and Damien Sandow. This didn't last, and it was disbanded by the end of May.
John Morrison got a movie role in late February. Good for him!
The Cell of Chaos did not take long to fold after dropping the tag titles, partly because of the departure of Bobby Lashley.
In late April, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon decided to follow Cody and Brandi by getting divorced.
The Miz started losing his figure in late April; AJ Styles followed a month later.
Seth Rollins' latest attempt to form a stable came in late May, with the Superior Squadron.
After his signing, Brian Cage came under fire on social media for harassing an 11-year-old boy. This also cost him his marriage to Melissa Santos.
Ember Moon headed off for maternity leave in late May, followed by Naomi in early June.
This save's version of body-shaming Titus... body-shaming Dean Ambrose!! He earned the ire of Rhino by saying out-of-shape wrestlers like the above Miz and AJ are an embarrassment.
Drew McIntyre took time off due to burnout in late June, which was probably caused by looking into an alternate timeline and seeing the releases that happened about a year before (yes, I'm bummed about Ever-Rise).
AEW:
Britt Baker suffered a separated shoulder on a February episode of Dynamite and missed six months of action.
As of late February, AEW is now allied with UWN, and the UWN titles are defended on Dynamite and Dark. I won't consider them AEW titles, though.
Yes, you read all of the above right - late in February, Jon Moxley jumped ship to WWE whilst still AEW Champion. This has not proven popular with AEW top brass. He then proceeded to lose to Dolph Ziggler by DQ at Elimination Chamber. WWE continued this skulduggery in mid-April by poaching half of FTR. And then the current TNT Champion. And then the current AEW Champion again. Jesus fucking Christ.
John Silver suffered an orbital bone injury in mid-March while working an Elevation match against Bear Country, so Johnny had to stop being hungee for about six months.
Cody and Brandi Rhodes divorced in early April.
Impact:
Violent By Design ended in February.
Impact got a better Mexican broadcast deal in late March.
Impact are at war with ROH! This was apparently ROH's decision, deciding a bit of petty conflict would be able to stir up flagging ticket sales.
Stephen Sullivan left after about a month and trashed Impact, comparing it to the promotion he owns... uh... North Shore Pro Wrestling. Who?? Exactly.
Happenings: Elsewhere
ROH and NJPW's partnership ended in February.
In mid-February, Tessa Blanchard's engagement to Daga was broken off, after the revelation of explicit videos she had sent to other people.
PWG finally got a TV deal in April.
After Eva Marie's departure from WWE, her cocaine habit seemed to get worse.
The AJPW Dojo was closed in early May and the space sold off, as AJPW needed the money.
Mid-May saw Jack Gallagher's nude leaks come online. What was concerning was that the women hadn't asked for it, and one was 17. (Not really, but wouldn't you expect that from that guy?)
Delirious eventually rejoined ROH as head booker in mid-May, as a result of the retirement of then head booker Michael Hayes... or at least he would have, if Joe Koff hadn't passed away and forced a complete restructure at the corporate level. The owner role was eventually filled by Eric Tapout, with LuFisto becoming head booker.
Not that that's helped ROH, with their current partnerships (among them an exchange deal with TJP) all collapsing.
