Now this is a good promo.

To keep on the Holly train. "I'm a super heavyweight!"

I'm assuming you already know the answer to this. Your mind is made up and you are more less looking for justification.
That said, 2009 Orton was his best incarnation and DiBiase was learning from him
DiBiase fell into the trap of being a brown haired, clean, smooth faced worker with a crew cut who did nothing to gain a fan base
Ironically, enough Ziggler adopted a crew cut himself. It was short-lived, but he probably should have kept it
Evan Bourne, Orton, Cena, DiBiase, Cody Rhodes all had the same look. Somebody has to stand out
Ziggler had the ability to separate himself (had he kept the look), but Ted never did and the injury didn't help.

It's difficult to overcome WWE's dogsh** way of view but it can be done. Ted's natural ability was just too... plain

Ted was just boring. Decent in ring wrestler. Bland as mashed potatoes as a character.

so if Ziggler had kept the same haircut as everyone else, he would have stood out?

you wrong cocker. it was the character the company gave him

only reason dibase and orton are not headlining mania this year is the company lad, simple as that

The idea is that he would have gained the reputation of a company player, while allowing his work rate stand out.
Take what the company gives you, especially if you know you have a natural charisma beneath the surface
Instead, Ziggs has gained the reputation of someone who speaks out the moment things don't go his way
I'm not saying he doesn't present good points, only that he should have kept that 'stale' gimmick slightly longer

Judging by the commentary during his matches, they were giving Ziggs a 'serious' push likely bigger than he later had with AJ...
but he didn't play ball.

It's evident; WWE will give you stupid gimmicks just to see how much enthusiasm you have as a performer.

Haha no, it's because neither of them are a draw anymore, better yet Dibiase was never an actual draw after Legacy.

No it's not. The guy has no inherent charisma. No gimmick or push would've saved his career, he would've ended up on the chopping block had be not wished for his release.

look at the interviews, he was good on the mic when given the chance. just because he was not cracking friverlous jokes, does not mean he was crap

His acting skills were shit, his charisma was non-existent. He seemed like a decent worker, so he could go on a kofi-kingston level, but anything beyond that would be a spit in the face of guys that are actually entertaining.

One shot in the dark doesn't mean he's that fucking good. There's an inherent talent inside of someone that makes them good, he doesn't have it. Even if he tried to improve, he didn't have a real shot because he would've taken way too much time for him to improve while others would be stepping up.
