Taz is gone from TNA

TNA and Impact TV announcer Taz (Pete Senerchia) announced Wednesday they are parting ways.

"Like to thank TNA Wrestling for the opportunity to apply my craft for past several years. Best wishes to them in the future," Taz tweeted. "A special thanks to the great TNA roster of wrestlers. And thank u TNA fans worldwide."

TNA executive John Gaburick simultaneously tweeted: "After 5+ years TNA & Taz have mutually decided to part ways. A champ in the ring & on the mic, we wish him nothing but success!"

Later, TNA president Dixie Carter tweeted: "You are such a talent, an amazing family man and a legend inside the ring @OfficialTaz. Wish you all the very best always."

Can't say I'm surprised. Do you expect to see him back in WWE?

Yeah either tough enough or commentary is where I see him coming into if he went back to WWE. Though an outside idea is if Joe is really coming to WWE like it keeps being rumored they could stick Taz with him as a manager/mentor type role kind of like they did in TNA a while back.

I don't enjoy Taz as a manager and he really sucked as a commentator his last couple years in WWE and his entire TNA run, so I don't know if I'd like that. He'd be a good Tough Enough trainer. Could easily take DeMott's spot IMO.

Yeah I used to enjoy Taz as an annoucer during his run with Cole, but his best days on that front are gone. His TNA run was totally forgettable and I think they could do with freeing up some extra cash so its a good move for them. I don't see him offering much to WWE now, maybe outside of being a trainer.
