I know Taz is a commentator, but he also got involved in the Jericho feud. Just saying there's been "off camera" angles that have happened all the time.

I'll even throw a possible scenario out there.
Samoa Joe attacked Tazz. Before he himself was written off, Samoa Joe was mentoring Hook. He could say daddy being around was making him weak.

See - boom, this is why they'd run an angle to write off an announcer that just happens to be the father of a worker. Like if Tony Schiavone needed to be away for a bit, they probably just say "hey, Tony won't be here for a while due to surgery or whatever" - but when you can use it to develop one of your characters, why not? This is almost as pointless a discussion as the FTW title one.

Well 1 - it was just an example of using this as a storyline .Joe was just the first person who came to my mind. 2, I wouldn't say Joe has ever been clearly defined as heel or face in AEW. And 3, AEW has never worried too much about how soon someone is face or heel. Its more about what the story determines. Swerve was literally face for one feud, heel for the Bryan Danielson feud, then face again for Hangman feud.
