Hello everyone, its your pal Swamps, with another rant, this time about my recent trips to the gun shops in my local town. Recently, I have been trying to acquire either an M4 or M16 assault Rifle, so I can keep my skills sharp for a potential up coming job. For those of you who don’t already know, yes I do have extensive training with these weapons and can take them apart and reassemble them blind folded.

Anyway, I can’t remember what day I went to the shops this week the first time, but me and a fellow soldier went to do our thing and locate a couple of these weapons. The first shop, there was one rifle left and it wasn’t the type I needed to purchase, but my friend was interested so I took a look at the weapon for him. When I was trying to check everything and perform the functions check to see if it was legit or a piece of crap, some random guy began trying to tell me about the weapon. The guy was just a tag along, whom was a friend of the store owner and was one of those people who knew everything about everything. I ignored the man at first and finally told him politely that this wasn’t the first assault rifle I have touched in my life nor the first one I touched this week, and that I knew more about this weapon than he could ever pretend to know. Anyway, before I was asked to leave the store, I noticed that the store owners were having a time keeping the Assault Rifles in stock due to the amount of people coming in and making purchases. Not only that they were having issues keeping 5.56 and 7.62 rounds in stock due to the high demand of customers purchasing them. Anyway, I went to another store later and the same thing happened; sold out of ammo, no assault rifles, and told to leave the store immediately or they would call the authorities.

Fast forward to earlier today, I went to one of the same stores and there was only two assault rifles left in stock. A couple of AR 15s, which I wouldn’t have purchased anyway because they were made almost entirely of plastic. Anyway, the last two assault rifles were being purchased by the SAME man, a yuppie with more money than he had common sense. Anyway, while the store clerk was calling the man’s request to purchase and register the weapons, I decided to have a side bar conversation with the yuppie. I told the man, “You know, if your looking to go hunting with the weapons, then you are going to need to zero the weapon to have any type of success because these are made for distance marksmanship and not close range.†He then tells me he doesn’t hunt and that he doesn’t even know what I meant by zeroing the weapon. Obviously, I didn’t ask the man if he had any training because he would either lie to me or tell me no. I then asked him, why are you buying two assault rifles if you don’t hunt and you don’t even know how to zero the weapon, which is adjusting your sites to your vision so you may fire accurately. His response to me was that he felt that the country was heading towards an anarchy and it wasn’t smart not to have anything for self defense. Being the smart ass that I am I asked him where he lived and he asked me why was I asking that information. I then told him because if there ever is an uprising in this country, which more than likely will never happen, I want to know whose house to hit first when I need ammunition or weapons, because someone like you who doesn’t know how to properly use one of those things is going to be like a blind and deaf duck in the water. This didn’t go over to well, since White America doesn’t like to hear the truth! I was then asked to leave and have now been banned from the store for having two incidents in one week.

My day didn’t end there though, I went to another outdoors shop to purchase ammunition for my friend’s weapon, and needless to say they were sold out of the 5.56 ammunition. The lady working in the marksmanship department informed me that they had received a shipment three hours earlier and that they sold out in less than two hours. Wow! Evidently, there are no restrictions on how much ammunition that a citizen can purchase.

I called up another friend of mine who lives three hours away in another metropolitan area and informed him of my encounters and what was going on with the weapons and ammunition sales. He then told me the same damn thing was happening where he lived.

Now, I’m not against the Second Amendment and may get bashed for this, but why in the fucking hell are we allowing yuppies and imbreeds to keep purchasing assault rifles and endless amounts of ammunition!? I really don’t give a shit who I piss off with this, but seriously there are reasons we keep having shootings, and usually the person making a mass shooting isn’t a prior criminal. Its ridiculously stupid for Billy Bob or Clarence to walk into a weapons shop and purchase a weapon made for shooting “HUMAN BEINGS†from a distance. Not deer, not ducks, but people. Second Amendment my ass! People are stock piling fucking assault weapons out of paranoia and have absolutely no intelligence on how to use the weapons or what it can do. I’ve personally seen what they can do to a person, and see no need for an assault rifle to be owned by a private citizen. Don’t give me this crap about needing it for self defense because most of the time when a criminal is robbing a store or mugging someone they’re going to be using a small caliber hand gun that they can conceal. You know what is hilarious too? There are more restrictions on owning a hand gun (which is actually considered a weapon of defense) than there is for an assault rifle (which like I said was created to kill a human being from a distance).

Anyway, I’m going to stop ranting and go back to drinking now. Feel free to discuss… in your own words and not some copy/paste bull shit some imbred gun loving fuck heads without any common sense does to seem intelligent when they get owned.

I completely agree. Made this point a million times, who hunts deer with an assault rifle or an Uzi 9mm? Guns are not toys, yet in some stores you can see the gun section whilst standing in the toy section. It's a joke that untrained and unstable members of society are able to walk into a store and buy a killing machine... Because that's what a gun is at the end of the day. Now the way I see it, no one should be able to own a gun without a permit saying "this is why I need this gun" such as "my job" "hunting" or something else that's acceptable, not "THERES A WAR COMING MANNNN" Fuck that shit. Even then, there should be a standard list of guns to be used for hunting, and assault rifles are not one of them. Sure if your job dictates that you need that gun, fine, because like you said you've been trained to use it in the first place, and understand the dangers of it. Honestly... If you told a Martian that guns are given to people who get a kick out of shooting people... They'd laugh right in your face and tazer your ass for living on such a stupid planet (and for irony)

This is seriously one of the funniest things I've ever read in my life.

And this is one of the most accurate. I think a long, hard look needs to be taken at who is purchasing these things, what they plan to use them for and why they need them in the first place. One things for sure, you're bang on with the paranoia comment, and if that was something that could be tested and prevent you from owning a gun, there'd be a lot less problems in the US. Removing guns isn't the solution...removing them from people who don't understand them is.

Oh and for the record, I have never nor will I ever own a gun. I hunt often, but I use a bow like everyone else in my family does.
