All depends on the talks they had with Goldberg and when he's ready to get involved again. I'm almost positive they're gonna do an interference angle at Saudi, whether that's Goldberg fucking on Gunther or Owens fucking on Cody.

Yeah one, if not both of the Champions are getting fucked over come Saudi.

Goldberg is the wild card cause I don’t see where he fits. Initially, I figured Priest would get his rematch at Survivor Series. Punk gets his shot at Rumble and then onto Mania for Gunther.

the easy path is rollins screws him against gunther. or gunther just smokes Punk and Rollins laughs at him and there u go program for mania. theyve already done most of the legwork on that feud

That’s the most obvious plan.

Long as both are healthy that seems like a lock

Big question is whether they do it for the title or not because if they were to, then there's obviously a good chance Punk beats Gunther.

If they're doing a Goldberg match I don't think I really have a preference if it's Rumble or Survivor Series. Both have the long gimmick matches so if you're going to have a short world title match those would be the shows.

Rumble is more prestigious so I'd say Punk challenges there but they might want him in the Rumble and in that case you can market him challenging at Survivor Series with a year of Punk being back or something since he returned there last year

I'm also 50/50 if Punk beats Gunther or not. I'm certain he faces Seth at Mania this year, but I'm not confident in predicting whether they think it needs the belt or not. The feud probably doesn't but maybe the belt needs them bc otherwise you just might overshadow it anyway not having the hottest feud be for it

Nah I think they’re gonna give Gunther a long ass run with the world title. I’m sure Punk vs Rollins will just be a grudge feud.

Yeah if anything i'd still be leaning quite heavily towards Gunther winning, it's just that Goldberg inclusion has thrown a cat amongst the pigeons. At this stage now, I probably wouldn't even do just one match with Golberg, i'd do small a run through to Mania and give him a proper send off if he legit wants to hang it up

Goldberg might just get the February or March Saudi show of that's still a thing too

Potentially, though the calendar right now doesn't look like it will fit a Saudi show before Mania
