Michael Cera is finally getting the hang of this binary code thingy -- otherwise known as the Web. The "Year One" star is yapping on Twitter and gabbing up on his blog about all sorts of news. Is it because his Jack Black-fronted film is being released this weekend? Maybe. Or is it because he also has oodles of other pictures in the can?
Either way he's giving us news that no one else can about the geektacular sequel to "Superbad." Last night he posted a rather long blog (his second) about all things "SB2." Firstly, he, Jonah Hill and Seth Rogan are all signed up for part deux. Also, the plot for the film is still in rough draft mode -- cheerleaders, midgets and college are all involved. And thirdly, it may take a bit for the film to actually come to fruition, but it is definitely in the pipe-line.
Take a look at all the blog-tasticness Michael laid down about "Superbad 2" after the jump.

"Hey. So, I'm sure many of you have been wondering what's the deal with Superbad 2. Is it happening or what? Am I right? Well, the thing with it is that most of the people from Superbad are far to busy with other things in their careers to sign up for it right now. We may still have it in the future, but it depends on what happens. For the plot of Superbad 2, we are thinking of having Evan and Seth begin college. We're planning for Seth to want to get babes so he joins cheerleading (still not sure about that). Evan is trying to keep his relationship with Becca going strong, but meets someone which makes him have to choose between them. Evan also trys-out for a football team, when he gets in, he is surprised, then finds out he is in a team with midgets. For Foggel and the cops, they go in for military training (we're going to build on to that later). We really hope to go forward with this film. So far we have me and Jonah Hill and Seth Rogan signed on. It may take a while, but keep your hopes up. -Michael"

I honestly do not want a Superbad 2 sequel.

I know what you mean. Most sequels just don't seem to capture the magic of the first movie. If it's meant to be a sequel or trilogy that's different but if it's only being developed to cash in on the success of the original it usually disappoints. Plus if they don't bring back McLovin it automatically fails.

I think as bad or whatnot as this movie may sound to some, Superbad will go down in history as one of the funniest movies ever (and I'm not being sarcastic or talking out of my ass). It had potential from the start, drew TON of money and fan bases... look at Hill and Cera now after the movie? THEY ARE HUGE stars right now... And yes, McLovin!

Superbad 2 would draw a huge amount of money, and I bet it won't suck that bad at all. Most comedies (if not all) starring Seth Rogen had been amazingly funny, especially Funny People, which comes out soon, looks to be hilarious (yet still somewhat serious too).

I think they should do it, and I would 110% go see it

Hopefully there won't be a Superbad 2 because the first was hardly funny. If McLovin hadn't been in it, it would have been toilet paper....at least with him in it it's just trash.

Dear, Michael Cera... STOP PLAYING THE SAME GODDAMN CHARACTER IN ALL YOUR MOVIES!!

That is all.

I honestly wouldn't mind a Superbad 2, with the actors involved it seems virtually impossible for it to NOT be funny.
