Alan honestly a great dad. Much like Phil treated Will like one of his own, Alan did the same with Shawn. Plus his own kids.

When Alan tells Eric he's proud of him after working hard to improve his SAT Scores to get into College it kills me. Honestly I had a Episode today at work and for the first time in a long time my Dad was there to give me advice and help when I needed someone to talk to.

Dude was a legend.

I wasn't overly aware of Burt given that I never got into Glee. He's incredible and would win against a lot of people. But Alan Matthews is amazing.
