HOGAN vs. MICHAELS
FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER

It's a turning point in the company we all know and love, as John Cena and Batista have begun their reigns of dominance on their respective brands, Randy Orton has fully recovered from his ill-fated World Heavyweight Championship run, and the stars of yesteryear such as Triple H, The Undertaker, Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels have reached full-blown veteran status, clearing the way (for the most part) for the next generation of superstars to try to take the ball and run with it.

So it only makes sense that we headline this show with a first time ever match that could have taken place in 1992! That's right ladies and gentlemen, it's SummerSlam 2005 from the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. and for the first time in their illustrious careers, Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels will lace them up to do battle against one another in a match dubbed "Legend vs. Icon". Additionally, both world titles will be on the line tonight! On the Raw side of things, John Cena defends his WWE Championship against Chris Jericho, while on the Smackdown side of things, it'll be Batista defending the big gold belt against that dastardly JBL. But this is a card with a meat on it, so we'll also be getting a WrestleMania rematch pitting Randy Orton against The Undertaker, a ladder match for the custody of Dominick Mysterio as Rey takes on Eddie Guerrero, and a highly personal showdown between Edge and Matt Hardy!

This card is about as Ruthless Aggression as it gets tbh. Don't miss it!

This is essentially around the time I lose interest in WWE until the Summer of Punk.

It'll be interesting to revisit a 2005 show for the first-time in 15 years.

I actually watched this show live and only once since a few years ago so this should be fun. I think i remember most of it fairly well but I'm hoping a few matches were better than i thought
