What a fantastic post and mature opinion from a City fan. Wow. Liked.

You're right, City are one of the richest clubs in the world so clubs will naturally hold out for more money. Maybe you'll get him in the January window.

In other news though, Julio Cesar is going to F**cking QPR!

Thanks for liking, I just wanted to get my feelings out, because people think I and many other City fans support the club for money, and don't realize that we've supported them through thick and thin. When the times were good, and when the times were bad. It was only in 2008, when we got absolutely hammered by Middlesbrough 8-1! But most people won't know that we know that because apparently we've only been supporting City since 2010.

It terms of clubs holding out, I suppose they have every right to hold out, but trying to squeeze blood out of a stone, when the player will no doubt 100% be leaving to any club is a ridiculous business move. I'm sure we'll get him at some point.

And I heard about the Julio Cesar rumour on Twitter this afternoon has it been confirmed, I've seen various reports from different blogs and sites, It's rumoured he'll be getting around 60,000-80,000 pounds a week, I'm also sure he'll be pretty cheap for a dream team but I don't fancy putting him in because everyone knows, A goalkeeper is only as good as his defence, and QPR at the back are very shaky, so I still expect him to concede quite a bit. Good signing for them though in terms of them getting noticed on a global scale.

I hope Dzeko goes to Juventus, it'd be best for him and the Bosnian NT. With him at Juve, he could flourish in their system, get much more playing time, and could be in form for the World Cup 2014 qualifiers.

Sky Sports sources understand Manchester City have agreed a fee with Fiorentina for defender Matija Nastasic.

A deal has been struck for a reported £12million and the transfer could see Stefan Savic move in the opposite direction after failing to fulfil expectations at the Etihad Stadium.

Nastasic, a Serbia international team-mate of Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic, has long been linked with City and they will now push for an agreement on personal terms and a medical before Friday's deadline.

The 19-year-old only joined Fiorentina from Partizan Belgrade last summer but he made 25 appearances for the Italian club as they finished 13th in the 2011/12 Serie A.

City boss Roberto Mancini will hope Nastasic will prove a suitable improvement on Savic, who has endured a difficult time since moving to England in July 2011.

A fee of £6m was paid to Partizan but the 21-year-old has made just five Premier League starts for England's reigning champions.

From what I've seen and also heard from a few friends Matija Nastasic is a good solid young player, and one to watch for the future. He's represent Serbia at U-17,U-19,U-21, and now has a couple of caps with the first team national side.

I'm sure he will be a good addition, A shame to see Savic leaving as part of the deal because I liked him, I don't know why but I just did. Savic is okay but he's too rough around the edges and often makes mistakes which cost us games. & He's only played in a few.

Hopefully the deal for Matija Nastasic will be wrapped up pretty quick, so we can move from 1 or 2 more before the transfer window closes.

Dzeko is too good of a player to be sitting on our subs bench, Dzeko is a quality striker who scores goals, and I'll be forever grateful for him scoring in the last game of the season against QPR and helping us lift the Premier-League trophy. He's a huge talent who I wish would stay at City.

Not seen too much of him to really put out my opinion on it. He seems very young to be the replacement of Kompany/Lescott if one were to get injured, but young doesn't mean bad. He might suffer with what Savic suffered with, being shoved in the first team in the hardest league in the world and it being too much for him.

I agree with what you're saying hopefully this kid is completely different to Savic. & Hopefully Mancini will use him right. I can't see him been a first team player, but then again Mancini is using the tactic 3-5-2 with 3 Centre backs, so who knows?

Still, we've got to sign him first before we decided where or who he's playing with.

Zabaleta is a king though for Man City.

3-5-2 is one of the stupidest things I've seen Mancini do though. The reason you won the league is because of your solid team who had so much flare and power going forward. Now you're just vulnerable.

I was there, best Boro match ever, showed real intent on our part and I couldn't wait for the following season... Then we got relegated.

I agree, but if we sign this Centre back, I can see Mancini chucking him into the first team and still playing 3-5-2 with the wingbacks. :upset:

Wow, i didn't know there was a City fan who liked Dzeko, lol. On all the football forums I'm on, he receives a lot of criticism.

Manchester City have agreed a transfer fee worth as much as £8 million with Swansea for winger Scott Sinclair.
Sinclair, who represented Team GB at the 2012 Olympics, said this summer that he would not sign a new contract at the Liberty Stadium and was looking to leave.
Swansea rejected a £6.2million offer from Premier League champions City on Tuesday. However, a restructured offer of £6.2 million with add-ons that could see the fee rise to over £8 million has now been accepted.
Sinclair, 23, will now head to Manchester to undergo a medical and holding talks over personal terms ahead of Friday's transfer deadline.

I knew we would get him eventually.

I like Dzeko, he holds the ball up very well, and isn't afraid to run at defenders, yes his form has been a little dippy, but he's always managed to score goals.

Dzeko reminded me so much of Drogba. He could be going to Arsenal if recent reports are accurate.

Yup, I've been hearing that too. Seems more likely than juve, too, at this point. It seems Juve don't have the amount of dough City want.

Since you're a big City fan, can I ask ask you why Mancini tends to bench Dzeko even when he's scoring goal (like in the 3-2 season-opener this year? Most of us Bosnians tend to hate Mancini because off this. Let's not forget, Dzeko is probably Bosnia's second-best player of all time, best since independence, which is why we tend to get mad when we see him not play as much (because we know if he gets more playing time, he'd look like Wolfsburg Dzeko, just look at his NT stats).

To be honest, I can't even answer this. Mancini is very strange at times. Sometimes you cannot take him seriously. ("Carlos Tevez will never play again") ("Balotelli will be sold") You just can't take his word on anything. I think it's just a simple matter that he prefers a Tevez & Ageuro partnership I suppose.
