Mike sent the following new details from TNA's upcoming iMPACT video game:

*Weapons are used just like the smackdown vs. raw game you can onlt hit people a few times and then it will disappear.

*They are not only making movesets for TNA superstars they also have WWE finishing moves like sweet chin music, F-5, the jackhammer, and many more.

*The Story Mode begins with a man who's been beaten to the edge of death, had his body dumped in Tijuana Mexico, and awakes in a Plastic Surgeons office not knowing who he is or how he got there. From there the player must re-establish his identity, recover his memories, and fight back to gain was rightfully his in TNA. The player has many choices as he creates his wrestler, expands his move set, and attempts to become a TNA Champion.

*There will only be a maximum of four players at the same time in the ring during an x-division match.

- Joey Styles covered a variety of topics in his latest WWE website blog, including C.M. Punk winning the World Hvt. Title. Styles wrote that he had goosebumps while watching Punk achieve his lifelong dream. "I spent the rest of Monday evening hanging out with the new World Heavyweight Champion, clad in his trademark baggy jeans, dirty Cubs cap and worn T-shirt, knowing that this young man will not be affected in any way by his newly earned success," Styles wrote.

"Punk will always be Punk. He's not just a character you see on television. Punk is genuinely that grounded person all day, every day which is why I believe our fans, specifically our younger fans flock to him. Hopefully, his message of drug free hard work will resonate with those youngsters as well. In fact, drug-free hard work is a message that will hopefully resonate with all Americans on Independence Day...and every day." To read the full blog, visit WWE.com.

Good to see Punk didnt let it go to his head. But Im excited about the tna game. On one hand, it sounds like a good story, and good move sets/graphics from what Ive seen. The negative is, not many match types, and also, I wish someone would learn how to let you use a weapon more than 4 times! I hate that, and thought tna would fix it.

Agreed steve. nothing worse than having a bloody match, with a ton of weapons, then at the end, none of the weapons are still there. I dont knmwo why they do this anyways, Im sure they have the techknowledgy to keep the weapon, and if not, at leas dont make it totally dissapear

I alays think they should let the weapons remain in the ring on the floor, such as broken tables and snapped weapons etc. Why can't you just use it continually, even when broke - would make it more skillful, having to beat the weapon out of your opponent's hands rather than knowing it'll disappear after a shot or two.

And on the backstory to career mode, it truly is typical TNA isn't it?! Bit like that film with John Travolta and Nicolas Cage - FaceOff wasn't it?!

The TNA storyline sounds like something Kurt Angle would come up with. Get beaten (probably by somebody who knows who you are and wants to nring you down), and end up having plastic surgery in Mexico? Well it's different, if nothing else.

Punk has always seemed to be like that, but he has only just won the title. It may yet go to his head, although I doubt it will.

I'm totally making my guy realistic..

He's going to be a beaner!! I mean plastic surgery in Mexico? Lol..

Well the weapon's thing is stupid... I don't think that having the complete weapon there would be good because, it would be hard to maneuver around.. Remember it's a video game.. It's called glitching! Well If I were an expert Video Game designer I would have a little thing like when the referee takes the weapon's outside, or kick's the weapon's outside.. That would be cool, and then you can have the option to grab him, and take the broken half of a table, or something.. I'm pretty pissed that they don't have six sides of steel.. Also, "Four Guy's on the screen in an X-Divison match" what does that mean? So they are segregating X-Division superstar's WTF? Or does it mean in the ultimate X match?? I really wan't to see the King of The Moutain match footage.. That's going to be so cool.. I wonder how they are going to get the player to climb up the ladder with the title.. Does that mean that you can climb up ladder's with weapon's? Like chair's, and guitar's??

Yes, cause if I woke up in a mexican plastic surgens office, the first thing I would do would be to go wrestle in TNA.

Remember this is a first attempt so did you really expect to use the weapon, over and over again? Three, four times is good enough. But the storyline is just bad.

lol at the storyline for the TNA game, thats so fucking bad. At least it isn't the generic "i want to achieve the ultimate dream and main event Wrestlemania" but...still, I think they went a little overboard with it. I also hope that Punk's World Title win doesn't turn him into an egomaniac. But the way Joey Styles wrote it, it sounds like no matter his status in WWE, CM Punk will always be CM Punk

Its not that bad of a storylines. But, IMO, the wwe ones are good too (certain ones)
Anywaysm I dont think its a bad storyline. In fact, that isnt even the storyline, that is just the backstory. Saying you were a wretler, got injured, and now you have to restart. there will be seperate storylines in your career though, and feuds, the injury is just explaning how you got into TNA.
They will still have feuds and storylines within the game.

I really want to see the TNA game, just for the fact it'll be different from the SD vs Raw games, which have gotten completely boring. I'm still playing SD vs Raw 06, because that game owned the 2007 and 2008 editions. It sounds really fun, and this could help them popularity wise.

Yay for Punk. He really had genuine emotion when he won, it looked like he was about to cry tears of joy when he won that belt. That shows how much winning means to him.
