So, I've been in my 5th year of high school since August and, to be honest, it's been a pain in the backside. Over the summer, two of my best friends have moved, and the rest have just changed in a dramatic way.
I've just turned 16, and now I can leave the "God forsaken Hell-Hole," but if I do, I won't have awesome grades to fall back on if other things backfire. Also my parent laugh at the idea of me leaving anytime soon.

I just don't like to go to this headbanging nightmare, that takes up 90% of my day. I seriously don't know whether to stay or leave.

Maybe I just need a beer. lol

Any ideas on solving this?

Dude, shut the fuck up, I wouldn't start a bitch fight with me. Now unless you are mentally Blue you can plainly see this is a question in need of an answer not an un-funny comment from a kid who wants to try and scare me.

P.S.

English do you speak it!

This needs a question mark and a comma. English, do you speak it? Bitch.

Allright time for a sensible answer...

The truth is, no matter what people try to preach to you in school about, grades don't count for shit once you get out of school... Seriously. Maybe it's diffrent with you guys, but from what i gather the only way they come in handy is if you need certain qualifications for college/university if you do indeed intend on going down that route.

I left school at 16 with only 4 C's & a B in my GCSE's (British Examinations). Now there were far worse people than me grades wise, but a meer month after leaving school, all of them got jobs over me for the sole reason that they live closer to the area. The employers didn't want to hear anything about qualifications & this was just A MONTH! after leaving school!!! Made me think that my 5 years in school was a waste of time!

That's why i don't believe in wasting time on courses/higher education/6th Form that arn't going to bring you anything to the table by the end. My computer course introduced me to Graphics & Artwork, so therfore the course has pointed me in the right direction in where i want to go. If you don't know what the point of doing a course is... Why do it ?!?

Either that or go out all night drinking Vodka... that usualy solves many things! lol!

Edit:- BTW, fuck your parents... Your 16 & should be able to make your own decisions without them stopping you. Of course they could always blackmail you if you can't live without their money, but that's where benefits come in handy my friend! lol. My parents try & stop me living my lifestyle, they don't like me drinking... To that i say "Shit Happens, & i'll do what i want!"

In the end, your 16... (ME 17) This is meant to be one of the best time of our lives where we finnaly get freedom & responsibility into our hands. Why would you want to waste your time doing something you don't partically wanna do & which overall as you said takes up 90% (Most) of your life!

Lets face it. You don't go to school for socialization. You go to learn and expand your mind. The friendships and dating is secondary. If you can't make any friends then throw yourself into your school work. Something that interest you. You have plenty of time in life to socialize. You'll never get anywhere in life being a quitter.

Why? My whole point above went over the fact that after you leave school, nobody gives a shit about "Grades" & "Your Knowledge". Might as well then socialise as much as you can in later school life!

Yeah, you're probably right.

Forget about getting good grades and learning kids. Just make plenty of friends. that will get you somewhere in life...

^ Your School system sucks... That's why! :D

But seriously, I know a few people who were left out at school & not for one second do I wanna be in their shoes. So what if they get a better job in later life & "Learn" more. I rather have a good time now in my teens & twenty's than having to wait further than that to socialise with people!

I mean, what else is there to do when your in that situation. You can only be on a forum for so long, what else can they do in their spare time ?!?!

5th year of high school? Well then you can't possibly have much longer left in school. Suck it up and finish. Then no do whatever you want. Besides, its almost a sure thing that the people you make friends with now will not be your friends 10 years from now. But you will still have your education to fall back on. Besides, are all these people youre trying to get in good with planning on supporting you for the rest of your life? I dont know about you, but minimum wage is not the way I want to live my life.

^ How can you fall back on your education when no employers even query or give 2 shits about how you did in school!

Yet again, this may not be the case with you, but i fought i'd give him a view from a person who has left school in britain.

Well I don't know how it is in Britain Fatal, but in the US, you can barely get a job flipping burgers without a high school diploma.

That would be sweet!

I find it hard to get jobs because i live so far away from the nearest town, it's all about location & timing. But saying that, in the long run usualy the people who don't have decent qualifications end up flippin burgers or shifting boxes for a very long time!

Anyweis, we're getting away from the topic here. Mark/Pele, you shouldn't let it take over your life when at the same time you can't just give up on the spot. It's a matter of balance between Work & Socialising... Well, that's if you socialise with people a lot wich i assume most people do.

I prefer less Work but don't we all!
