Watched this yesterday and I cringed like hell when Rousey put that arm bar on Tate with the way her arm was bending. Looked like she was gonna rip it in half. Surprised she lasted as long as she did in that submission.

Shit is tough to watch again, lol. Much props to Tate for being that tough. Found their legit heat they had with each other pretty entertaining as well. Rousey saying she didn't feel that bad about fucking up her arm like that. Looking forward to seeing more of Rousey.

She said yesterday that it was sore but nothing was broken or dislocated, which if true would be incredible.

Woman must have a rubber arm then for nothing to not be broke or dislocated, lol. Hell at the very least expected something to be strained or something.

Four fighters who underwent drug testing at this past Saturday's "Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey" event tested clean for performance-enhancing drugs and recreational/drugs of abuse.

Ohio Athletic Commission Executive Director Bernie Profato confirmed the drug-testing results today with MMAjunkie.com (UFC blog for UFC news, UFC rumors, fighter interviews and event previews/recaps | MMAjunkie.com).

The test results of a fifth fighter, Bristol Marunde, are pending. Profato stated that Marunde had received a therapeutic use exemption for testosterone, and the commission is waiting for the results of a test to determine the levels of the hormone in his system.

"Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey" took place this past Saturday, March 3, at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, and the main card aired live on Showtime. Preliminary-card fights aired on Showtime Extreme.

As with its normal procedures, the OAC tested headliners Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate. It also randomly tested Kazuo Misaki and Paul Daley, who fought on the main card. The OAC tests athletes for drugs of abuse (such as marijuana and cocaine), as well as anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancers.

According to Profato, Marunde was not in the "random draw" for drugs of abuse and performance-enhancers, but he had to submit to a hormone-level test prior to and after his fight.

Marunde submitted to an arm-triangle choke in the third round of a fight with former middleweight champ Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza, which took place on the main card of the event. Marunde was a late replacement for Derek Brunson, who failed a pre-fight vision text and now plans to undergo LASIK surgery.

his past weekend's "Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey" event drew an average audience of 431,000 viewers.

MMAjunkie.com (UFC blog for UFC news, UFC rumors, fighter interviews and event previews/recaps | MMAjunkie.com) today confirmed the figures with an industry source.

The number marks a 25 percent increase from January's "Rockhold vs. Jardine" event, which drew 344,000 viewers during a "free-preview" weekend.

"Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey" took place this past Saturday, March 3, at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. The event's main card aired live on Showtime while preliminary-card fights aired on Showtime Extreme. (Ratings for Showtime Extreme weren't immediately available.)

In the night's main event, undefeated judoka Ronda Rousey secured a brutal first-round armbar to submit former champ Miesha Tate and claim the promotion's female bantamweight title.

Strikeforce's eight 2011 "Arena Series" events drew an average audience size of 521,375 viewers to Showtime. The promotion's two events thus far in 2012 have averaged 387,500 viewers

Prior to this past weekend, the most recent event, January's "Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine," averaged 344,000 viewers.

The ratings for Strikeforce "Arena Series" shows since 2011 include:

1. "Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Silva" (February 2011): 741,000 viewers
2. "Strikeforce: Overeem vs. Werdum" (June 2011): 624,000
3. "Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson" (July 20011): 571,000
4. "Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Cyborg" (January 20011): 561,000
5. "Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley" (April 2011): 528,000
6. "Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Masvidal" (December 2011): 460,000
7. "Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey" (March 2012): 431,000
8. "Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson" (March 2011): 412,000
9. "Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine" (January 2012): 344,000
10. "Strikeforce: Barnett vs. Kharitonov" (September 2011): 274,000

Not bad, it joins the top 10 most matched Strikeforce events pretty big for a WMMA main event.
