Lash ran into a fighter that was hungry, and wouldn't be a bit surprised if he overlooked. I had read a few months back that Lashley had mentioned he wanted better competition in the likes of Fedor. I agree with Coker that he has some soul searching to do. Lash has a ton of potential. Anyone with that kind of wrestling pedigree does, but he's not Brock Lesnar. Lesnar said from the jump he wanted tough competition. Lesnar has fought and defeated 3 former UFC Champions. I think the comparisons with Brock should stop at former WWE superstars pursuing MMA careers. Lesnar wants it and it shows. Lash is coming off as arrogant. I hope to hell this is a huge wake up call for him because he needs it. He's not going to just walk through fighters because of his name and his background.

I think we'll see Lash back. And I would hope that we'll see him much more focused and serious.

i can't really see him coming back unless he truly is as arrogant as pumpt says. to me he seemed afraid and nervous before touching gloves, if he wanted to live up to the hype, he should of at least attempted a jab to show the world that he's improving. really think he is that greeedy and wanted to broaden his upkeep before anyone truly noticed his holes., imean he joined tna before deciding to train mma. seemed like he ran out of options.and just like hi stint with wwe, he was fine to get rich off of someone elses hype, it was always about the money. must be that gf of his cause it's not like the army ever paid

Wait, when did Lashley say or try to come off as a big name or someone who's bigger than he is? Every interview that I've read was him saying he doesn't want to be hot shotted to the top like others wanted him too. He wants to start from the bottom and work his way up.

read between the linez bones. He's not being humble, he collects GIGANTIC paychecks while fighting complete nobodies. Henderson went into SF because the UFC wasn't paying him enough, and oddly enough Lashley is just as close as a draw as Henderson. That's why Ashley is arrogant, he knew he didn't have the skillz but he still rode it for every fucking penny

Lashley joined WWE shortly after Lesnar ran into the WWE and flipped it on it's head. Lashley stole his entrance, his look. WWE found out fast he's not anywhere close to Lesnar with his wrestling skills, mic skills etc. He either cried about all the travel or cried about the money cause he soon left to ride the co-tails of Lesnar once again who emerged in MMA as the Next Big Thing. He took shitty fights his entire career while collecting enormous paychecks. I mean, UFC releases the information on how much the fighters get paid, but Strikeforce doesn't.

Maybe it's just because I'm a fan of his and am not seeing it, but it seems like you you have a dislike of Lashley dating back to his WWE days.

There's his TNA outings too, Bonez. He completely bailed on TNA if sources ring true and it's sorta obvious. Guy asked for a shitload of money and they told him to fuck off mid-angle.

Na, not even close JB. I like Lash. Someone with his wrestling pedigree should have been able to walk through Chad Griggs though. Sure, maybe he wasn't a D-1 National Champ, but winning a National Championship in Wrestling on any level is an impressive feat. Lash gassed himself out. Now that could be attributed to any number of reasons. Adrenaline dump, just an off day, whatever the case may be. If Lash is going to make it big in MMA, he's got to make sure his cardio is number one. The guy is gifted. He truly is. Hell if he wanted to, he could go and compete in bodybuilding with no worries. I though he was pretty humble as well until I read the article about him wanting Fedor and fighters in Fedor's "class" if you will.

I think the loss to Griggs will be a huge wakeup call for him. To take a loss this early in his career is a good thing for a lot of fighters. I've heard and read numerous times that fighters learn more from a loss than they do a win. I think Lash will take this loss and improve upon his game. Thing is, right now he's a name that commands big money even though he really hasn't proven himself in MMA. Sort of along the lines of a Kimbo Slice, moneywise.
