I like Lashley. Been a fan of his since his early days in WWE. He's really the only reason I started following Strikeforce.

Former WWE and TNA wrestler Bobby Lashley will be entering his first MMA fight since January with a distinct weight advantage over his opponent, Chad Griggs.

At Friday's final weigh-ins for the "Strikeforce: Houston" fight card tonight, Lashley (5-0) checked in at 246 pounds. Griggs (8-1) checked in at 228 1/2 pounds for the heavyweight division bout.

Lashley vs. Griggs will be the opening bout for the TV portion of Saturday night's card airing on Showtime. The broadcast will begin at 10:00 p.m. EST/9:00 p.m. local time in Houston from the Toyota Center.

Following Lashley vs. Griggs will be K.J. Noons vs. Jorge Gurgel, Tim Kennedy vs. Jacare Souza, and the main event of King Mo Lawal vs. Rafael Feijao Cavalcante.

Lashley has a pretty big weight advantage.

Lashley's a joke. 5-0 and his hardest challenge is washed up Wes Sims. This chad Griggs is just another douchebag who beefs up his record. His Loss was against a IFL beefcake who's now 3-3. Since that loss he's been stacking his record. Record's don't matter in MMA, it's all about who you fight and his last fight was against a joker making his debut. Before that it was 2007 and he valiantly defeated a guy with one pro fight under his belt. Though he did fight someone who was 7-12 at the time two months before hand.

do this later

I agree somewhat Colin. Lash has a ton of potential, but he needs a challenge. The guy's wrestling pedigree speaks for itself. If he loses to Griggs, is it really an upset??? Griggs is 8-1 with 7 finishes in all of his pro fights. If Griggs wins, it propels him.

Jacare vs. Kennedy has Fight of the Night potential. Kennedy is tough. I like both fighters and to be honest, this is the fight I want to see above all others. Noons vs. Gurgel does nothing for me. Until KJ fights Nick Diaz again, I won't be impressed. Mo vs. Cavalcante should be a fun fight. I don't see Lawal losing this fight though. I see Lawal retaining. If Mousasi wins the DREAM 205 title, I want to see a rematch.

everyone's suspicions about his heart and mma skills were found true. Yeah he was reluctant to step up his competition cause he sucks that much. Can't say I feel sorry for the "boss" bobby lashley.
Kristal Marshall (Lashley's girlfriend) tweets:

"Please pray for bobby and our family we just got some very very scary news."

"Bobby got admitted he can’t come home…it is very scary they r running lots of tests im Freaking out they r keeping me in the dark"
Video of Lashley getting taken out of the building on astrecher

After the event, Coker (SF boss) said at the postfight presser that Lashley needed to do some “soul-searching” to decide if he even wanted to be an MMA fighter. Ouch.

Lol he quit? What the fuck? What a girl. Can't believe this dude was even compared to Brock fucking Lesnar. Still has so much to learn like the announcer was saying, who by the way was a dipshit, 'that's REAL blood'.

Lash ran into a fighter that was hungry, and wouldn't be a bit surprised if he overlooked. I had read a few months back that Lashley had mentioned he wanted better competition in the likes of Fedor. I agree with Coker that he has some soul searching to do. Lash has a ton of potential. Anyone with that kind of wrestling pedigree does, but he's not Brock Lesnar. Lesnar said from the jump he wanted tough competition. Lesnar has fought and defeated 3 former UFC Champions. I think the comparisons with Brock should stop at former WWE superstars pursuing MMA careers. Lesnar wants it and it shows. Lash is coming off as arrogant. I hope to hell this is a huge wake up call for him because he needs it. He's not going to just walk through fighters because of his name and his background.

I think we'll see Lash back. And I would hope that we'll see him much more focused and serious.

sf boss talks lashley heyman and sfhouston and a possible batista vs lasley omg what?

i can't really see him coming back unless he truly is as arrogant as pumpt says. to me he seemed afraid and nervous before touching gloves, if he wanted to live up to the hype, he should of at least attempted a jab to show the world that he's improving. really think he is that greeedy and wanted to broaden his upkeep before anyone truly noticed his holes., imean he joined tna before deciding to train mma. seemed like he ran out of options.and just like hi stint with wwe, he was fine to get rich off of someone elses hype, it was always about the money. must be that gf of his cause it's not like the army ever paid

iguess booker would know lashley more than anybody, hell maybe he has been working hard consistently and jus made rookie mistakes. hell that actually makes it pretty sad
