Often the excuse for WWE’s low TV ratings is because of streaming whether live or uploaded, and social media and that they are are drawing.

This is refuted by the fact that if it was the case, they would be getting 6-7 + million viewers per YouTube video with the biggest draws getting 10+, instead of the 500k average views they get.

Network subs would be up.

Now if TV ratings went down and they did transfer over to the internet, and YouTube views were 5-7 million per video, then maybe you’d have an argument.

But the fact that the TV ratings dropped and they didn’t go to the internet shows that stopped watching completely and in fact lost their audience.

Plus internet numbers are down on top of that.

TV ratings still remain the most important metric for WWE TV series, and it’s low, they are failing to draw and internet is zero excuse as they don’t draw on it either.

But they made two 1 billion dollar deals with two huge companies. Raw was #1 in cable last week on their night. WWE provides original content weekly for Fox and provides 2 hours every Friday night. Raw provides USA Network 3 hours of original content a week and have high ratings for cable. Oh and not to mention this is live content every week. As far as NXT goes I think that was a failed experiment and going directly against AEW was a stupid move.

It exists in a bubble, deals are overvalued and the bubble will burst and ratings declined since last deal.

As proven in this thread:https://wrestlingsmarks.com/threads/wwe-is-a-bubble-company.119009/

Raw was #1 in cable last week on their night. WWE provides original content weekly for Fox and provides 2 hours every Friday night.

Because Fox lost ratings following election. It’s not that RAW draws, it’s that the other shows that did are failing, like NBA.

Too many shows are going SJW and losing more viewers than WWE does, doesn’t mean that WWE isn’t losing viewers and drawing themselves.
Raw provides USA Network 3 hours of original content a week and have high ratings for cable. Oh and not to mention this is live content every week. As far as NXT goes I think that was a failed experiment and going directly against AEW was a stupid move.

Yet none of those shows draw, Smackdown has slightly higher ratings due to being on free tv.
