The Duffer Brothers have said it's not GoT where all the characters are killed off but they wanted an end which will benefit the characters in the show.

Noah gave away secrets on the show on first we feast and they had to edit it as like I said said Mind Flayer is the true villain and Will built the tunnels when he was the first one in the upside down.

They've all said Vecna is MF 5star general. Not really bothered about kali if she dies lol.
