There was nothing more exciting than Austin at the time. What would he do next? Every time his music hit, you'd mark. But as time has gone on I've become immune to it. I mean I'll watch a classic Austin moment and it's still cool but I don't find myself marking or anything. Like yeah, Austin spraying Vince with beer is cool and all but after watching a few times it loses it's buzz.
The Rock on the other hand, as I've gotten older I've learned to appreciate The Rock's character a lot more. I didn't really understand his jokes being a dumbass kid at the time. I didn't really "get" his character. etc. Now I can spend hours watching classic Rock promos/segments and they're still funny and have me marking every time. The Rock really perfected his character. An asshole who speaks in 3rd person, shits on faces, heels, jobbers, OH IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO HE SHITS ON. His mannerisms. His facial expressions. His fucking aura. He can just stand there doing nothing and you can feel the ELECTRICITY .
1998-2000 Rock is the fucking GOAT. I feel like he kinda starting losing it after a while though.
