TNA President Dixie Carter wrote on her Twitter page:

"Spoke w/Sting last nite. We've renewed his contract & he said he wouldn't miss Mondays live show for anything. Can't wait to work w/Hulk"

Good news. With TNA really trying to go big they can really use Sting's help. He's one of the biggest stars in the company.

I am torn about this tbh. I love Sting he is one of my all time favorite wrestlers BUT at the same time he is getting up their in age and I would hate to see him do to himself what The Undertaker has sdone and not only worn out his welcome and appeal but also hold down some of the up and coming talent in TNA, which he has done somewhat but he has also helped in putting over some guys.

Sting takes a lot of breaks. I think he will be fine provided he isn't insanely active. Sting hasn't held down the talent at all really. He held the title because he had to hold it a few times due to him being one of the biggest stars with not many others capable of holding the belt. Now however TNA has some more potential new comers. If he gets the belt now then that would be holding down the talent.

I was by no means saying that he was holding down the younger guys, on the contrary I think that Sting has helped some of the younger guys if anything. Not only does he have no issues with putting a guy over but he also I am sure has taught guys like AJ Styles how to be 'the guy' in the company. Sting does take quite a bit of time off and that is part of the reason I am suprised he resigned his contract. I was almost 100% sure that he was getting ready to retire for good this time. I still don't see him sticking around much longer tbh. Not for any reason other then his age and his body I am sureis pretty beat up. Him doing his sporadic activity is what I think has helped him last as long as he has tbh.

Stings gimmick has gotten to stale for me. He's been doing it since the NWO days and its time for him to repackage himself a little. Maybe he can become heel for the first time in his career; that would be a nice change.

What drugs are you on? He has had a heel run in WCW when he was with the nWo and he had a heel run in TNA like a year ago. Sting needs to bring back the Crow attitude.

^^^Sting was never, ever a heel in WCW. He was in a face Wolfpack.

I am not 100% certain on that. There is something in my memories of a 4 man match for the WCW title with Sting cheating to win the belt. Can't quite place my finger on it though.

Not long. It was similar to when they tried to turn him heel with the MEM in TNA. It didn't catch on and the fans kept cheering.

Doesn't matter I was fucking right.
And both times were half-assed heel turns. In the MEM he was in the background while Kurt was the leader. Sting should've been the leader of that group the whole way through.
