TNA wrestler Sting's name actually came up this year regarding a possible induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.

The reigning TNA World Heavyweight Champion got support from a number of people involved in the WWE's creative and producing process. Just to show how out of touch with the world outside of WWE some staffers are, they were not even aware he was working for TNA.

Sting is on good terms with Vince McMahon, and the company will likely produce a DVD with the WCW footage they own and consider him in conjunction for the Hall of Fame when his time in TNA comes to an end.

As well he should. If they're inducting the Funks and the Von Erichs then Stinger deserves a shout too. These kind of inductions ask a difficult question of the WWE though: if the likes of Koko B. Ware are Hall of Fame material, then shouldn't we be seeing inductions of people who were far more important than he (albeit to other companies)? What about The Dudley Boyz, Tommy Dreamer, Raven, The Steiners etc?

I could see the Dudleyz inducted before any of the names mentioned namely because of the impact they had on the WWE Dreamer, Raven and the Steiners sure were sucessful but D'Von and Bubba had some of the best tag team matches of the early 2000's apart from the classic TLC matches.

Yeah, I reckon The Dudleyz will be in before any of those because of the conditions you mentioned, but it'd be incredibly disrespectful to the likes of Dreamer and especially Raven, who had runs in all the big companies (although admittedly he was used appaulingly in WCW and wasn't much better in WWE), if they weren't acknowledged by the Hall of Fame at some point in the near future.

I don't find being succesful in ECW worthy of giving someone a Hall of Fame spot.

There's certainly an argument to be had there, but it is part of the WWE brand now, and I feel they have a duty to acknowledge the wrestlers who kept it above water for so long. It goes back to the Koko B. Ware thing again; if he gets in, the ECW guys definitely should. In fact, if he's going in then Too Hott should. Plus, Raven kicked arse.

I'd love to see that, but like I said a while ago... It should be a while from now. It doesn't matter that he was in WWE, because it's more of a wrestling HOF anyway, and WWE bought WCW, so that's not an issue, but they should wait for at least 5 years.

If any ECW star gets inducted it'll probably happen within the next year or two. WWE just released a WCW DVD, so it might take even longer for an ECW guy to get inducted. They'll probably induct someone whose still with the company ie. Tazz or Dreamer.

What DVD was that? I've not heard anything and it's always been one of my biggest criticisms of post-takeover-WWE that the only DVD they've ever released that had anything to do with WCW was The Monday Night Wars, and that was mainly: "Ted Turner takes over, nWo are formed, OMG AUSTIN AND THE ROCK". It literally went into no detail whatsoever.

I could definitely see Tazz being inducted in the future though.

The 1st ECW guy I see getting in is either RVD or Tazz. With Dreamer shortly after.

I think he's talking about the Best of Starcade DVD.

Re: Sting....

Still not guaranteed, but I'll stick my neck out already and say "I told ya so".

DVD & HOF spot.... Maybe even a run in WWE before retirement?

LOL @ WWE staff not knowing Sting was in TNA nor, effectively, who the company's champ is..... Yeah, they're really sweating the competition atm! GO TNA! Hahahahahahahahahah

i still don't see why WWE should give him a HOF.

Just for the fact he has never worked under Vince mcmahon,

In a business state of mind it would be like a macca's hall of fame giving a burger king worker HOF for there grilling skills but they never work for macca's.

I hope Sting doesn't get induct into WWE Hall of fame...

Please..... Please..... Pleeeeeeeease can we not ALL just acknowledge the fact that:

WWE HOF ALREADY CONTAINS PEEPS WHO HAVE NEVER WORKED IN WWE.

....So why not Sting?
