How can they sign Sting and NOT do Sting vs Taker?

Because they need sting to drop at least a solid 30lbs before he faces anyone D'z. Stinger is a fatty atm, and you can hide it by putting him in suits for now. That works for me, I think Spot had it on point seeing him as the face of the WCW part of the network - until WM31. If you can get taker as rested and prepared as possible, and get the fat out of stinger and get him bulked up ala Trips or Kane, then hit him up next year for it. Once he goes WWE officially, it's clearly his final spot.

If they signed him for this and don't use him in the ring at least a few times I will be disappointed.

As much as I love Sting, I don't see it being a worthwhile situation to bring Sting in to work as Raw GM and unseat Maddox. Maddox, whatever deficiencies he may have, is actually quite good in that role, particularly in the foil he provides to the more physically-menacing authority figures of HHH and Kane. As his dissembling nature is different from Vickie's outright brown-nosing, it also provides a unique perspective in the GM role from that provided by Vickie on Smackdown.

As for Sting, if they want to put him into an authority figure role, he would work better being installed by Vince (who apparently will be the one acting as the "anti-HHH" (I would honestly prefer someone else to Vince, but I'm not entirely sure who that could be at this moment....hell, I suppose it could be Sting), perhaps as a "Commissioner" rather than a GM, a la HBK or Foley, or even as....whatever the hell Austin called himself when he was in the "commissioner" role and his job was to come out on his 4-wheeler and give people Stunners (I want to say he called himself the Sheriff of WWE or something like that and actually wore a silver star pinned to his vest). In fact, having Sting (backed by Vince or whomever) act in a counter role to Maddox (backed by HHH, Stephanie, and Kane) really doesn't sound too bad the more I think about it.

Honestly, though, if they're finally going to sign Sting, I just want to see him go against Undertaker at Mania. I know they're two old guys past their primes, but they're still proud and they still know how to work. Those two would work their asses off to provide a great match and I don't see how they could fail to provide something that would really be special, particularly given the amount of respect they reportedly have for one another. Whatever they do with him after that, so long as it's not putting him in the ring on a regular basis (particularly in the main event scene), I'm cool with.

I heard a Taker vs Lesnar is most likely going to happen at this year's Mania but how would be if the lights go when Lesnar is most likely going too win and the lights come back on and Taker gets the win.

So Sting helps Undertaker cheat (regardless of whether he requested the help or not) to win and keep his streak intact? That'd be lame as hell.

On a separate note, it never really occurred to me to ponder this before, but it recently popped in my head that if Sting DID sign, he'd probably be booked to win the WWE Championship at some point. They could build it up as this story of Sting having done nearly everything in the business except for the one ultimate goal that everyone in the industry dreams of accomplishing, and that's winning the most coveted prize in all of pro wrestling/sports entertainment - the WWE Championship. And he manages to finally pull it off in the twilight of his career. Gotta say, it'd make for an interesting story.

The Undertaker win the world title next year some time and Sting win the royal rumble. The Icon vs the Phenom could happen Wrestlemania 31 the best of WCW and one of the best of WWE

You'd want to see Sting defeat the Undertaker? :eww:

Sting/Undertaker would be enjoyable but I wouldn't want to see Sting end the streak.

If it did happen, Sting would return after WrestleMania, assuming the current authority are going to be taking a few months off following Hunter's defeat.

When did I say wanted him to beat the streak I would hope he lose and then uses his rematch clause to win at Extreme rules 2015 to become champion

Well, the way you wrote it implied you wanted Sting to end the streak if his match with the Undertaker ended up being for the world title. You can only use a rematch clause if you're the champion, not the challenger (unless there's a screwy finish where the challenger gets screwed, in which case they can always grant him a rematch to make up for it, but that would be a terrible idea in that case.)

Not if Sting has a creative clause in his contract like Stone Cold and Bret Hart but Bret Hart got screwed by Vince when Bret was suppose too win by dq but when HBK put Bret in the Sharpshooter Vince told the ref Earl Hebner who has screwed Bret Hart at Survior Series 1997 and Kurt Angle when Aj Styles put the angle lock on Angle
