Steve Austin, who just finished filming the movie "Recoil" in Canada, is booked for the 6/6 Raw in Richmond, Virginia as he'll be announcing the winner of Tough Enough live on Raw.

As we noted a few weeks back, Austin is also booked for the 6/13 Raw in Uniondale, Long Island at Nassau Coliseum.

The Smackdown roster is also booked for the 6/6 RAW so it will be a big night. I like the idea of announcing the winner on RAW since a wider audience will see the result.

I believe that both RAWs are three hour shows so it will be good seeing what role Austin plays on both. On the 6/13 RAW could he be there to announce a second season of the show?

I am going to that Raw most likely so I am super happy. I can't wait to mark out when he comes out. The show just got even better.

I don't understand why he doesn't just give the film career up though, that is never going to work out.

He would have saved enough money that he doesn't really need to work. A film or two a year would be enough and he is still trying to get his foot in the door. He has been getting a few good roles and he can do alright in action films as a bit player like he did in The Expendables.

Announcing the winner live is a good idea, not sure what he will do the following week.

My best guess is that he will announce a second series of Tough Enough. There is also a good chance that he would only be used for the first RAW and that his second appearance will no longer be happening.

Well there's the obvious talk of him announcing a second season of Tough Enough ect...but I've heard rumours he may have a small fued with CM PUNK, if so that'd be epic and would be really good playing off both there gimmicks.

Not sure what Stone Cold could do other than cut a promo on Punk. He won't get in the ring for a match with Punk so I don't know where that could lead. Austin confronting Punk and Nexus would be cool to see though.

It's working out fine, those straight to DVDs do just fine. The Olsen twins became billionaires off straight to video. The costs are low, the interest still there.

Act like ya know, don't be a mark.

Plus this new Tough Enough hosting gig would pay well so there isn't really any need to come back full time.

Oh silly me! I thought Austin would actually want to be in films that he is proud of instead of just going for an easy buck. I will have to take your word about the money made by those straight to video/DVD releases, but fact is if Austin wants to be a proper actor he can't jus relie on that.

Why not? Seagal is still making money from being one character his entire career and still makes money off straight to dvd movies. No one is a proper actor, if Paul Walker can "act" it's safe to say anyone can. Steve Austin has name value and people watch his movies. Who says he isn't proud of his movies, nobody besides Nicolas Cage just takes any script he can. Steve Austin picks these movies. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean everyone else doesn't.

1. Paul Walker can't act so that is no kind of example.

2. Nobody actually would do straght to Video features out of choice, they do them mostly because they can't get their films into cinema, Seagal was once a bankable action star [for what ever reason], he isn't any longer, simple as.

3. Have you seen some of the shit Nicholas Cage has been in recently, trust me he is not nearly picking enough. And how can you make a flipent like there are no proper actors, so people like Philip Seymour Hoffman and Juilanne Moore are not proper actors! Think you will find they are doing well for themselfs without appearing in just anything.

^I would think that doing those direct to DVD films would be proof that Austin isn't in it for the money and is in it because he wants to be a serious actor. Those are simply the roles he has been offered and I am sure he will do as many as possible so that he starts getting cast in more big budget Hollywood films which is where the money is.
