Hi Im Rob!

I got banned actually at ProWrestlingForums with this same topic. Those pathetic mutants fought hard saying Steroids should stay! I heard"Its people like you that ruin it for the rest of us!" I heard that broke-d!ck line "In moderation steroids are beneficial, blah blah blah..." All this took place WITHIN A WEEK after the Benoit killings!

Im hoping this forum is a smarter group, and havent been completely Vince McMahonified! The true draw to wrestling has always been great characters, matches, storyline, and promotion. Steroids are great for cosmetic and performance, but NOT necessary for this business to thrive. Never have been.

Any thoughts?!

Well no matter where you go you're going to have a wide variety of opinions.

I however am of the opinion that steroids in wrestling are a non issue, I also think that if you knew absolutely anything about steroids you might not be so quick to throw your hands up and leave a place because other's opinions don't fit into your perfect world view.

No their arguments were S***! I can debate a point, but when the BEST they could come up with is "They actually perform better on roids" well I let em have it!

Truly the WWE hardly seems to spend the bulk of their time in matches. its more promo driven on RAW, and WWE doensnt value workrate. So what they like roids for is the appearance of their guys. They also "strongly encouraged" manty peoples physiques to grow dramatically in small time periods. Make of that what you will.

I didnt leave the place I was banned from the place, and im proud of it! Check them out! They have a forium called "The Rainbow Room" strictly for their gay fans.

I dont think steroids belong in any sport. Wrestling isnt exactly a sport however, it doesnt really matter to me. If a guy wants to fuck up his life by being dumb and taking a drug like Steroids, so be it. It really doesnt affect me either way.

I'm not certain what point you're trying to make here, but I think I have an idea.

Yes, steroids in wrestling are used for cosmetic purposes, and that's the point. Its cosmetic, nobody gets a leg up in any kind of athletic competition. Besides that, they're grown men and women who make a conscious decision to use them. And it doesn't have to be okay with you or me, nor do we have to like it, but we do have to deal with it. Because its not our place to tell them that they shouldn't do something that's not harming anyone but themselves.

Imho of course.

Well its not worth the death count, and dont go there with the "Steroids didnt kill Benoits family" bs cause if Chris never had done juice in his life his brain wouldnt have been AS bad. Taking straight chairshots to the back of the head had to contribute for sure.

I mean please put some thought into this. Do you think its worth John Cena to look that good and be dead 15 years from now? Think Im exxagerating? 30% of the roster is dead from Wrestlemania VI. Guys that performed then the same age as Cena now! Wake up fans!

Its not like wrestling wouldnt be fun to watch if they were smaller. Mysterios still Mysterio, and if they all shrink together no one would look out of place. Its an addiction just like booze cocaine etc... Vince is even hooked on them! OH DAMN LOOKIT VINCE! Hes is the biggest guy at his age in all of North America! Not that McMahons life is who Im trying to save, but moreso Kane or Taker or Cena or Edge (dont ask me why Ric Flair's still alive).

Are wrestling fans just fatheaded jadded lowend of society?! I know in the 60s and 70s they were, but today we are actually worse than them! I'M SERIOUS! We are more uncaring than how the public wouldve responded back then to the same crisis. You people do realize that the death rate among ProWrestler blows away ANY other venue including Football Hollywood and EVEN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY! Have you ever seen Behind The Music on VH1?! Theyre always drug addicted and at the end of the episode theyre walking on the beach a year outve rehab! These guys dont even last that long!

Sure, and that's why there have been a slew of other wrestlers who have gone on a roid rage and killed themselves and their families. Please, use some logic here. Benoit was an anomaly and nothing more. Hell if you want to blame steroids, what about 99% of the worlds bodybuilders? Why haven't the majority of them snapped and killed themselves? Not to mention that there was evidence that Benoit was on powerful painkillers, and anti depressants. Oh and he'd been drinking. The mix of all those intoxicants might have had something to do with it, but it certainly wasn't steroids on their own.

No kidding, and most of the deaths are related to drugs that are not steroids. Really could you be less of a twat here and actually apply a modicum of intelligence to your posts? I've wasted enough time replying to part of your post but the rest is just inane.

Ha ha! Youre funny! Youre actually ignoring the statistics I presented in my post and picked on MY intelligence. Listen up jocksniffer I damn well know the amount of wrestlers that were big in the 70s pre-WWF are still alive, and WWF and on they are dying. Its absurd how many in such a short amount of time.

"Thats Ok! Its just a bruise." was a book written by the team doctor of the then Los Angeles Raiders before they went back to Oakland. He dedicated a chapter in it to Alzado. Remember Lyle Alzado?! Remember John Matuszak?! Well they took enough Steroids, HGH, and etc... to slowly kill themselves. The quantities those two took mirror what ALOT of ProWrestlers take today, and the death count is proof of it.

Seriously now how many weeks will it be before another one dies in their late 30s early 40s? Are you actually thinking that steroids arent an epidemic level problem in this business?! Do you think youre actually contributing something by defending this nonsense?!

If this were a painkiller epidemic the death count wouldnt be so high. The WWF confronted the cocaine problem they had in the 80s so dont go there with "Oh its other drugs! Not steroids! Steroids make my happy time happier blah blah blah"

BENOIT WAS TAKING A 10 MONTH SUPPLY OF STEROIDS EVERY MONTH, AND YOU HAVE THE AUDACITY TO SAY THIS HAD ZERO TO DO WITH HIS BRAIN DAMAGE?! YOU QUESTION "MY" INTELLIGENCE?! Oh please tell me steroids can be beneficial if taken in moderation! PLEASE let me serve you on this! Better yet why dont you go mod someone knocking Santino Marella and leave the hard topics alone.

(Was that worded too hard?! Im new.)

Okay, I've said this about Barry Bonds, I've said this about Roger Clemens, and I'll say it about Chris Benoit. You have NO SOLID EVIDENCE THAT HE EVER TOOK THE STERIODS. As far as I know, WWE has handed in reports from Benoit's drug tests and they have all tested negative for all banned substances. How is he taking so many steriods and clearing the tests? The people that I have mentioned in this post...NONE OF THEM HAVE EVER TESTED POSITIVE FOR STERIODS OR ANY BANNED SUBSTANCE.

Another thing is the whole "Benoit brain damage" story. Look at all of the former wresters who have had brain damage. Most of those guys had never even taken steroids. Brain damage could probably happen from wrestling around 300 days a year....sure, Benoit might've taken steriods the day(s) before he died, but that was the only time that he had taken them since the WWE Drug Testing has been in place.

Plus, I'm tired of people accusing wrestlers like John Cena, Vince McMahon, Lashley, Batista, and many other wrestlers of taking steriods. If WWE ended up suspending Booker and Edge for steriods...they'll suspend Batista, Lashley, and Cena if they were to test positive. Plus, with all of the media waiting to jump upon WWE for steriods....if they found out that WWE didn't discipline someone for testing positive, they'd have a field day.

.........................i'm just stunned by your naivety.

Back in the original congressional hearings Roddy Piper took the stand, and admitted to doing steroids. It was a bit of a surprise sinceHot Rod wasnt a wrestler with a awesome physique. His reasons were so that he wouldnt look too small compared to the other wrestlers.

Benoit was juicing, and had been since Stampede wrestling. The WWEs drug testing policy is/was purely for image purposes. Wrestlers were told ahead of time when the surprise testing would be. Thats why Chris passed his drug test, and Batista too. Listen putting it plain 95% of the WWE performers juice.

Im in shock that you truly believe these physiques to be real ones. IT'S FACT that bodybuilders juice too in bodybuilding federations. Arnold Schwarzenegger admited to doing steroids in his day, and the bodies today are even more ridiculous.

Who gives a shit about your statistics? They have nothing to do with steroids so find something relevant to harp on.

"Thats Ok! Its just a bruise." was a book written by the team doctor of the then Los Angeles Raiders before they went back to Oakland. He dedicated a chapter in it to Alzado. Remember Lyle Alzado?! I don't know these people as I don't follow tackleball, but I don't see the issue here. They took enough steroids that it killed them. Big deal. It was still personal choice, and even more importantly, natural selection. Darwin would be very proud.

Seriously now how many weeks will it be before another one dies in their late 30s early 40s? Are you actually thinking that steroids arent an epidemic level problem in this business?! Do you think youre actually contributing something by defending this nonsense?!

I am defending personal choice. Its not my place to tell them that they cannot do steroids especially since they are hurting nobody but themselves. Neither is it your place Adolf, so get off your high horse.

If this were a painkiller epidemic the death count wouldnt be so high. The WWF confronted the cocaine problem they had in the 80s so dont go there with "Oh its other drugs! Not steroids! Steroids make my happy time happier blah blah blah"

Really, so now you're a doctor? If you don't think that pain killers and sleeping pills are not a major contributing factor to these deaths then you're just beating the steroid horse because that's all you want to see.

BENOIT WAS TAKING A 10 MONTH SUPPLY OF STEROIDS EVERY MONTH, AND YOU HAVE THE AUDACITY TO SAY THIS HAD ZERO TO DO WITH HIS BRAIN DAMAGE?! YOU QUESTION "MY" INTELLIGENCE?! I'm going to finish this collection of thoughts by saying you know nothing ok? I have a Masters degree in Psychology, and despite the fact that I had no intention of going into Psychiatry I still took s few pharmacology courses.

Excessive use of steroids has no real effect on the brain. Its the heart and liver which are abused. So I suggest that you educate yourself before you go off half cocked about a subject you clearly know nothing about.

Furthermore. I just took a little look at that Alzado fellow. Brain cancer from steroid abuse? Give me a fucking break.

Steroids can cause liver cancer, but not brain cancer. Not to mention that his fucking doctors even said that steroids didn't lead to the cause of his death.

Next time you're going to try and bend facts to substantiate your arguement you might want to try it against someone who won't look it up and call your bullshit.

Since I'm on a roll here. Lets take a look at those wrestlers who participated in WM 6 who have kicked it.

Andre the Giant: Yup, definately steroids. Not acromegaly, or the fact that he chose not to have it treated. Noooo.

Earthquake: Yup definetly steroids and not cancer. Definetly steroids.

Hercules: Heart disease. Now granted that could have been brought on by steroid abuse so I'll be genrous and toss that one in your column.

Bad News Allen: Heart attack. Could it be steroid related? Maybe. But at 63 years old I have my doubts. So we'll call this one a push.

Sherri Martel: Yup again must've been steroids and not the PAINKILLER oxycodone. Nope, gotta be steroids.

Dino Bravo: Again, definetly steroids that killed him and not 6 bullets to the chest. Unless steroids pulled the gun of course.

Is anyone else beginning to see a trend here?

Big Bossman: Heart attack. Could be steroid related, but never proven. Still since its x-mas I'll give you gift in adding this one to your column as well.

Rick Rude: Overdose of steroids and GHB. I would call this one a push, but I know too much about GHB to do that. Especially if you're mixing drugs like GHB and steroids. I'm putting this one in my column.

So to total here.

2 actually did die from steroids, with 1 possibility.

The rest, not natural causes for the most part, but also sure as hell not steroids.

In conclusion you are a fuckwit with no arguement. Please go home little boy.

I got your "roll" hanging Skippy! The only reason I couldnt retort your slop is I couldnt access the site, probably by your hand so you could pose to your minions, and now Mr Masters Degree in Psycholgy - we go to school!

You said - "I am defending personal choice. Its not my place to tell them that they cannot do steroids especially since they are hurting nobody but themselves. Neither is it your place Adolf, so get off your high horse"

Also said "I'm going to finish this collection of thoughts by saying you know nothing ok? I have a Masters degree in Psychology, and despite the fact that I had no intention of going into Psychiatry I still took s few pharmacology courses.

Excessive use of steroids has no real effect on the brain. Its the heart and liver which are abused. So I suggest that you educate yourself before you go off half cocked about a subject you clearly know nothing about."

OH! So Steroids dont cause aggresive behavior?! Thats what your trying to get across?! Im laughing in your face! Are you 15 years old?! You can ask a high school football player, and his candor would be more honest than the swill youre trying to get across!

Now your a jocksniffer - someone that tries to get "in" with wrestlers, and they usually tell them whatever they want to hear. Youre hilariously idiotic for saying Rick Rude is in YOUR column when you listed his cause of death related to Steroids/GHB. Big Bossman was juicing you imbecile as were 95% of the roster in the 80s and now.

IF YOU HONESTLY BELIEVE steroids affect nothing but the heart then you are too frightening to be put in a moderator positiion on any wrestliung forum. Your objectivity is shit - thats why. WesternMedicine isnt folly enough to state that the only things steroids affect is the heart/muscles. In fact MANY Doctors feel theres many ramifications to doing roids. You get injured much easier for one. All the time in Wrestling (hence the painkiller addiction rate), and Football (theyre always listing Injured Reserve.

Now use your common sense boy - Steroids affect others around the user. Remember Chris was taking a 10 month supply every month! Now the common sense in you should take over and you agree with me that if you OVERDOSE CONTINUOUSLY on any drug itd cause brain damage alot of the time. Alot of Doctors will tell you putting any foreign synthetic substance in that quantity causes a variety of health issues.

You disgust me, but when your posing in your next post to "look cool" do try and "man up" and not ban me from accessing the site again. Are you Mark? Oh thatd be perfect if that was your name! Cmon kid no need to ban people you arent able to convince reality is something that it isnt!

Besides Monkey does everyone believe Dave Batista isnt on juice?

Does everyone believe Benoit could pass a steroid test while taking a 10 MONTH SUPPLY every two weeks?

Does anyone believe that in itself does NOTHING to the brain? Hint - roid rage isnt inspire thru a tummy ache
