I think Vince is pretty smart and really believe in his decision and that it was the right decision. Who knows, maybe Hardy's days as champ are numbered and Vince just wanted him to get a taste of what it felt like and have Hardy be reminded of what he can accomplish further as a drug free wrestler.

I think Vince made a great decision, knowing full well that he could be making a mistake.

He did make a great decision, and at the very least it stops the "Triple H is hogging the spotlight" shit. I doubt he'll have given him the belt just to 'give him a taste'. I'm hoping this can be a long reign with some good matches, and I think Jeff is really up for that.

Ugh, Triple H pisses me off.

I know a lot of people go on about him being champ way before me married Stephanie but people also have to admit that after he married her, he has been getting a lot of extra great treatment and pushes. Yes, he brings ratings, but I can certainly do without him for a long time. They should focus more on other guys who deserve a push and stop pushing Triple H any further than he could possibly go.

It would give WWE more mainstream bad exposure. News reports and things of that nature don't pick up and report the good things about wrestling just the bad. The steroid scandal story for example. Even the deaths, the only 1's that get mainstream news report are the one's that end in a tragic way, see the Benoit situation for that, which again brought up steroids.

WWE will hit yet again (if Jeff does get the 3rd strike), WWE's WWE Champion Jeff Hardy has ben fired from the WWE for following his 3rd strike from their wellness policy. How will that look, WWE is pushing for the kids right now, parents would see this look up what happened to their child's hero, see he's been fired for drugs, question why the WWE would let someone who's a role model, represent their company.

They'll loose the very audience that they're trying to get. Let alone the Hardy's back story where they trained themselves to wrestle (backyard wrestling), when during their movies (shows I think too) it says "Please do NOT try this at home" It's hipocrytical. There children know that, say "Hey they did backyard wrestling, watched it, and trained them selves, and look, Jeff is the WWE Champ! I wana be champ too, lets go wrestle!!" They have somebody representing their company who has done the very same thing they tell people (kids) not to do, someone who will give them nothing but bad exposure, someone who will give the idea that it's okay to do drugs, to take no resposibility, and still get to the top and get what they want, someone who will have them losing money, losing the very audience they are trying to pull in.

This is all of course hypothetical if he sufurs his final strike for drugs.

I half agree with this. I don't think his success is solely down to his marriage to Stephanie, although it would be naive to think that hadn't given him something extra. He's dropped the belt to Hardy now, and I think that's because Hardy is the first real person to be there to take it. Everyone else has either been not good enoughm or involved with someone else. I don't want Triple H to get the belt again, I think he should take similar role to the one Shawn Michaels has.

Him and HBK go good together. I actually like him more when he is with HBK. I don't know, I just find him to be less annoying and him and Shawn can throw out some pretty hilarious lines (though I can't stand the little DX commercials they do.....that is usually filled with lame humour :/ )

The recent ones? I think they're supposed to be filled with lame humour. The type where you just laugh, because it is that lame. I also prefer Triple H when he's with HBK. DX, especially the older DX was one of the funniest things on TV. They really bent the boundaries.

Yeah, the recent ones they did. They made HBK act like an idiot in the one where he ranted about the kids playing with the box after.....

Both guys can be extremely funny (the DX reuinion when they made fun of Triple H's nose was great!) so I was hoping for more with the commercials, lol. I'm sure HBK would never act that dumb....

That really made me laugh actually, just because it's so true. You could see the father figure in him right there. Which was quite sweet. But probably only to me, because I revolve my life around him. I'm sad like that.

I LOVED that. I had tears in my eyes from laughter. Triple H's face was just priceless.

I haven't enjoyed any of the DX holiday promos up until the last one. I dunno I got a real chuckle out of that one.

On the other hand I was stoned as hell...

Anyway, on to a legit opinion. I happen to agree with Bonez. Not just because I hate Hardy bit because he's a liability.

Yes, right now the media couldn't give a damn about wrestling. However all it takes is someone like Jeff Hardy to fuck up and change that right back.

Not to mention with the release of the Aronofsky film "The Wrestler". Wrestling in general, I believe is about to be shown once again in a very poor light.

And Hardy is not one I would be relying on to be one of the faces of my company at this point.

LOL, agreed. I wish they would od more skits like that. I miss DX.

I think we're getting far away from the topic now, lol, so to stay on topic and not get the boot, I still think Jeff was a risk but a worthy one.

That EC toy add was well funny... Lighten up ya'll!

I'm sure you wouldn't expect right-on political satire if you went to a circus would you? ...Ya not gonna find complex, adult orientated humour on a WWE show (or in wrestling, period, for that matter).

My opinion on this is that its a good thing. Here is why.

1.Vince yes is taking a big risk but Jeff being the champion and the top guy might make him think twice before going in messing up.

2.If he does mess up it will show that even when your the top guy you will get the same treatment as everyone else.

But yeah I really hope he has turned his life around and can be champion for a good while.

first I admit I didn't read all the posts so if someone already mentioned this I'm sorry, but here is what I think...

I think its crap that Jeff Hardy's past of 2 drug failures is brought up as if he's the only one in the company. They keep saying its a risk its a risk, 3rd strike and he's fired. I don't disagree, but its not like he's the only one. Randy Orton won the WWE title at No Mercy and was at 2 strikes already. No one ever kept talking about him....hell they still don't. William Regal is on 2 strikes as well yet is the current IC Champion. I'm just tired of hearing about Hardy's 2 strikes and being high risk. Its like the world is waiting for Hardy to fail. How bout instead of dwelling on his past we try to have faith that he will not fall this time, and do well as the WWE Champion. Clearly its what the majority of the fans wanted. Let him run with it.
