Well this topic is for the the deluded, It should go Steam = Nintendo > Xbox > Playstation. My reasoning being that in the console wars Nintendo has alot better first party games than both Xbox and Playstation put together. Anyone who tries to tell me that they'd rather have games like Fable, Gears and Halo over games that actually try to change up the formula each generation really should stick to playing Fifa and CoD. Not only this, but Sega also used to make fantastic games until they ran Sonic into the ground.
If you wanna argue just check the figures for the last console war.
Wii – 99.38 million as of 31 December 2012
PlayStation 3 – 77 million as of 31 December 2012
Xbox 360 – 75.9 million as of 31 December 2012
The only downside Nintendo have is their refusal of installing proper online play and voice chat into their console and this is being addressed in the Wii U, so once the system is worked out and they have the 3rd party support in, they will again dominate the console market. It's also worth noting that the new system is capable of making games just as good now! as it took the 360/PS3 5 years to make, so in 5 Years I see the graphics being much better than this.
The 360 has many downsides that as a current 360 owner I can tell you about, the fact since buying this console i've never spent more money on buying a game after I bought it in the shop as i have ever before, alot of the 3rd party and some 1st games have been disappointing. you have to pay for the online service, which on the other two consoles is free. Then they add backwards compatibility for maybe 30 games, not the whole list that was originally intended, then there is the RROD problem.
PS3 Hasn't exactly been any better either, the controller triggers are poor beyond words. The only few good exclusive titles came out right at the start of it's life. The online got hacked for a month and people lost their details. Move, I mean really that is blatantly a Wii mote and Nun chuck, I know they steal other companies Idea's but seriously come on. As far as I know you can't have Cross game party chat, you have to install every game you own. Limited hard drive space.
After Re-Reading one of the posts on here wow, "Nintendo is for Kids" If by kids you mean all those little kids that sit and play Call of Duty then No, Nintendo is not for kids but I wish it were. The reason people believe the games are for kids is either that they played them when they were kids or believe that the bright colours and cartoon like graphics mean that suddenly it's a kids game.
To go through logic like that would mean games like Team Fortress 2, Jet Set Radio, Borderlands 2 and hell any game that wants to use a different art style to realism are gonna be classed as Kiddy games.
