because for the world heavyweight championship, he has only been in one championship match for that belt, so that's why he's a one hit wonder for that world championship

updated with overall results..

why is John Cena a one hit wonder?

He's only had one match for the WHC (The Big Gold Belt) on PPV (I believe it was the triple threat at Cyber Sunday between Cena, Booker and Show). All the other times that Cena has wrestled for a major title, its been for the WWE Championship (The Spinner Belt).

Nice work mate. I'm still baffled why The Miz has been in TWO World Title Matches.

No matter how badly the WWE show it, the ECW Title is a World Title, and yeah his two matches were: Cyber Sunday 2007 vs. CM Punka and Survivor Series 2007 vs. CM Punk and John Morrison.

Faarooq was against Taker at KOTR 1997, It was a terrible main event i think i gave it a *....(sadly this Match was the main Event of the PPV)

Patriot Faced Bret hart at ground Zero 97 IYH PPV the match was pretty decent ***, as i don't know the PAtriot that much....(this Match wasn't M/event as Taker/HBK I happened)

of course both men were unsuccessful....

Hmmm, alright. I didnt think Hart/Patroit was a title match.

Very surprised to see Ron Simmons vs Taker as a title match. I dont recall him ever going on much of a roll in the wwe. He beat a handful of jobbers, but thats about all i remember.

The Hart/patriot was a title match, they had a raw match before summerslam that was no title involved....

Simmons/Taker Feud was weird.. Bearer and taker align back, so bearer wouldnt tell the world taker Dreaded secret(sounds like abyss/james Mitchell).. Faarooq was random named #1 Contender for some unknown reason,(Alot of 1997 world title PPV match booking were like this) (Harts were feuding with austin/HBK, HBK/austin wrestled on this PPV, bret hart was injured, They could of used vader(but he may of been in jail at kuwait at the time, but i will talk about the vader thing later on and HHH/Foley were on there Part 1 of there huge saga feud, Sid was (leaving/got fired from) the company)... So i guess looking Back Faarooq/Ahmed Johnson were the best choice at the time... (the only other available heels i can think at the time that were free from any feuds were : Rockabilly, Savio Vega, The Sultan)

the Feud was very lame and was WWE 2nd focus while harts/Austin & hbk was 1st...

But the end of this match, bearer forced Taker to beat on Faarooq and then Ahmed johnson of all people came and saved Faarooq, In which was going build a taker Vs Ahmed Johnson at canadian Stampede (in which is my favourite wwe PPv of all time).. But On a raw few weeks before the PPV ahmed Johnson got injured during a NOD/DOA brawl and It was Changed to vader Vs taker....

But I'm not complaining i would rather see a vader/taker than a taker/johnson

Ah good memory. In fact. I'm pretty sure i was at the raw the next night where Johnson cut a heel promo and DOA came in and they brawled. It might be a different week, but i was at Raw one of those weeks after.
