Well, whatever, Im sorta bored, and high on WWE, so I figured Id make a random post on the state of WWE. Enjoy or hate:)

IMO, WWE has been improving alot lately. I can honestly say this though. Since I began comin gon wrestling forums in 2005 (Ive been watching since 1998/9) I have never seen a time when the forum members all liked what WWE was doing. But that;s understandable, because when you have a group of people who can all talk about the product, and have their own ideas on how to make stuff better, and WWE wont be doing thos eideas, so naturally, you wont like the on air product as much. Thats why before I came on forums, I seemed to enjoy WWE alot more, as Im sure everyone did. Anyways, obviously, everyones favorite era was the Attitude Era, and for good reason... But honestly, we will never get that back. So you have to move on, and you cant just hate whats going on now, just cause its not the attitude era. But anyways, in 2005 and 2004, wwe was very good IMO, but then 2006 was a bit of an off year. But sionce then, I have seen great improvements. Sure, its had some lows, but in general I think they're trying to improve, so give credit where its due.

Heres a few points where I notice WWE improving...

Young Guys:

WWE has had a habit of not having as many young wrestlers as it should/could have. But then in 2003ish, they had a whole crew of new guys... Cena, Orton, Batista, Lesnar, etc. But then, they became main event stars, and WWE has lacked some young guys since.
Now, they seem to have a good core of some young guys. I mean, these guys are still green and need time to grow, and probably wont be Orton/Cena/Lesnar level, but a few may, but nonetheless, they can at least be upper mid carders and lower main eventers at some point.
But its goo d to see WWE is at least tring, look at the recent new young guys theyve recruited. Because in 05/06, I couldnt really see any real young (20/21 with room to grow) guys on the roster. but it seems now they have some prospects. Youve got:
Cody Rhodes
Colin Delaney
Elijah Burke
DH Smith
Kofi Kingston
Paul Burchill
Ted Dibiase Jr

Again, I cant say how great these guys will be, but theres potential, and its good to see at least some fresh faces, who can also wrestle, and at least add to the midcard for now, and maybe main event in the future.

Womens Division:
Honestly, I dont give a shit who critisises it, its much better.
WWE has always had a few wrestling divas, but mostly, it was thong contests and wet t shirt contests, and not known for its matches.
But honestly, alot of guys (myself included) like to see some hot divas, and I wouldnt mind seeing some bikini contests some more... And Im sure that will come, but I find right now WWE has a good balance.

You still have eye candy with: Maria, Layla, Kelly Kelly, Candice and Maryse
Sure, those dress skimpy, but who cares, its what alot of the audience wants.
but for those who dont, they also have a great core of good wrestlers, who dont need to dress skimpy, and can put on good matches.
You have: Mickie James, Melina, Beth Phoenix, Natalya, Michelle, Victoria and some others.
Now, Ive noticed some people complaining about outfits they where, but shut the f*ck up. Honestly, all the "wrestling" divas, where proper outfits, being pants and a top. But if they wanted to wear underwear and a bra, who cares, that covers everything and is what they need to wear, just like Batista in his man-thong... But for you stiffs, they wear pants in the ring, and bottom line is, they put on good matches. I dont care if it isnt the same level as TNA, because TNA now has like 3 womens matches per show, and I dont wanna see that. Im happy with wwe's womens division because the matches are above average, and you have eye candy, and also wrestling divas. They have improved ALOT, and I think most people would agree.

Storylines:
Fuck everyone who continues to bitch. you know what... Yes, you loved the attitude era, we get it... But as I said, ou cant keep having that. Now, its partially your fault WWE doesnt have the attitude era style back, Ille xplain. If wwe brought in another austin type character, or a dx type team, which are needed for the attitude era, would you support it? NO. With the internet, you would all call them desperate, and acuse them of copying the past, even though you were the ones who wanted the attitude style back.
Bottom line is, the attitude era cant be repeated without redoing what was sdone before.
So lets move to today.
And the fact is, as of late, WWE is putting in an effort. Some attempts fail, some work, but theyre trying. I mean,we saw a good Y2J return, a good HBK return that noone saw coming, a good HHH/Orton feud, Regal/Kennedy started something, but it wasnt finished, but they still tried, and we had that good Regal going nuts thing.
Yes, some attempts have failed, but at least WWE is trying, and they arent a boring product in my opinion. I mean, some of you didnt like the Regal thing, but why? I hear you always saying wwe needs storylines, so they get some, but thats "weird" or "stupid" accoridng to you guys. But it wasnt bad at all, it was something different. But bottom line is, in general I think the storylines have picked up, and thats good, because this is a show, and its based on entertainment, so good on WWE.

Show Formula:
I know it sounds weird, but yes, I said show formula. This is actually pretty important to have a good show. See, its hard to keep viewers compelled to the show if the show is all over the place. If you have too many matches or segments in a row, or just plain weird setup, its hard to keep an audience. But I think WWE has really done a good job on this. IMO, they set it up well with a good promo to set the tempo for the night, and they have a good balance between the matches and segments lately. Tonight was a great example, where you would have very good matches, and in between each one, you would have a segment or interview, mostly relating to that same Mcmahon thing, and it gave you a running gimmick to the show. It was just entertaining, and IMO, wwe has put together a well rounded show lately.

Now, not everything is all perect of course. And I have to point out a few negatives, and then I will give my verdict on WWE as of now, so heres some negatives...

Tag Division:
Now, this has lacked for a long time, and it still does. Now, I cant overly complain, because WWE is managing to fit all the singles guys onto the show because of the lack of tag teams, but still, I would rather see tag teams then some friggen Vlad Kozlov. WWE doesnt even need to do much to fix this, as they have good teams, they just need to get it through their billiondollar brains that fans like tag action.
Honestly, too much teams can be bad, IMO, TNA has too many teams because they end up having 4 tag matches per show sometimes... But itd be nice to have 1 set of tag titles, and have two matches on sd, 2 on raw and one on ecw per week, and wwe has all the good teams to do this. Look at a potential division...
You could have:
London and Kendrick
Cryme Tyme
The Highlanders
Deuce and Domino
Shannon Moore and Jimmy Wang Yang
Jesse and Festus
Miz and Morisson
Holly/Rhodes
Dibiase Jr/???

That right there would be a great division, and WWE needs to realize it. A good division can help round out the show.

IC Title Situation:
Well, this is pissing me off. The US Title isnt doing bad at all, but the IC title, on Raw, with the best mid card in the company, is the one struggling...
This belt has lost all of its prestige it seems.
Again, they could have a good division with:
Carlito
Chris Jericho
DH Smith
Elijah Burke
Paul Burchill
Santino
and obviously others too.

But it seems, they are so wrapped up with the swollen main event division, they are forgetting about a potentially very good IC Title division.
But instead, Jericho is champ, and not even defending it, or being hunted.
Firstly, they need to move a main eventer off Raw so that it can open up a spot for more IC Title matches.
WWE has a lot of writers, and they need to figure out how to remake this division.

Final Analysis:
Well, as you can see, the positive outweight the negatives, IMO anyways. Now, I had the IC Title and tag division as negatives, but in all honestly, it would be nice to see the divisions fixed, but its not hurting too bad right now. As I mentioned, I am enjoying this hsow greatly lately, much better than in the past, and even though it has somenegatives, they are small negatives that can be slowly fixed, and the positives are huge!
IMO, is WWE improving or declining? Improving.
I see this keeeping up, and I want to say that I am enjoying Raw, now if you made it to the end of this post, I congratulate you, and you may post your thoughts...

WWE's state is ok I just hate how the faces overshadow the heels, kinda how TNA's heels shit all over the faces. Need to have balance. It also needs to refresh its main events, for the past 12 ppvs Randy Orton has headlined it and 6 of those with HHH. Same with SD the past year all ppv main events have involved either Undertaker,Edge or Batista. Women's division is picking up they just need to get all the good Divas in one show and have a better division. They also need to pick up the tag division. Either way its WWE you will never get what you want so I am happy with its current state.

Why are you so mad? You have your opinion just like everyone else does, nobody is right. I can tell you WWE does have some stupid Blue stuff but they been like this for decades. If you would've watched wrestling before 1998 you would know this, sometimes even as a kid you would just stop and think "what the hell am I watching?" just like in WCW,TNA, everything it won't make everyone happy, maybe you hate Hornswoggle but kids love him, maybe you hate Batista but women love him. It appeals to everyone, and everyone won't be happy. Unless you do something completely stupid that will turn off a lot of people for example Vince's limo explosion.
Not really talking directly to you but mostly in general because sometimes guys sit here and talk like their opinion is the law.
And about TNA having a lot of women's matches, why not? If you can have 10 men's match why not have 3 women's match? The difference is that I stopped looking at them as women playing in a ring and more as wrestlers. Its time to break that sex barrier. I hope TNA gave WWE a few smacks and woke them up to get their Women's division up and going.
And hell yeah WWE improved, it went from steroids, explosion, midget sons, plain stupidity to at least a watchable show. I swear to god I would change the channel everytime I saw Vince because I knew it was going to be some stupid shit.

Lol, wince when am I mad? I wasnt slamming wwe at all, I was pointing out the positives and saying that I like how it is now. And that they seem to be improving, and that people should just cut them a break...
That doesnt seem mad to me, but, then again, I guess you would know what Im thinking better than I do...

It seem like your mad at people having opinions...point proven. Like I said stop getting mad at what people think. Plus how the hell can anyone take your opinion serious when you didn't even watch wrestling before the "attitude era"? You sit here and type for hours about this and that but how can you if you didn't actually go through the whole wrestling cycle? I won't say I been watching it since 1949 but I think its different from you going and buying dvds or watching on youtude stuff from the past that you didn't experience personally. Yes I am questioning your fanhood. If all you know is "attitude era" then you are gonna have a different mind on the wrestling business because you wasn't there when Macho Man was the shit, you wasn't there when ridiculous cartoonish characters ruled the wrestling business so you don't learn to accept that wrestling goes through different phases, you don't understand that "attitude era" isn't the standard. Now who are you to tell TNA they can't have 3 even the whole fuckin card of women's match? You have to learn your a fan and just like you and I every fan has his opinion. Some people will think WWE sucks, some will think it is the best thing ever. So why you here telling people not to bitch? That's not bitching that's throwing out their opinion, even if you or I don't agree with it. Nobody's opinion is the law. You tried to make me stupid but failed at it. Forum debating is nothing new to me been doing it for about 7 years, you completely ignored my comments on the TNA women's comment you made but went on talking about if I can read your mind or not you going offtopic on your own thread then you go make other threads saying "I don't fuckin wanna know what you think about this or that I want my question answered".

And don't get mad, its called forum debating. Other than that I agree with most of your thread.

Lol, Im not mad in the slightest, everyone has their opinion,. My first post didnt say anything directed towards the fans, at all, lol. And when I did mention the fans, I wasnt mad at them for having an opinion, I was just stating that its true that wwe cant meet everyones standards.
As for your comment about saying "How can my opinion be taken seriously if I didnt watch before 1998?" Well dude, most people on here didnt watch ebfore then. the majority of people on this forum are teenagers or early 20s, meaning most people only watched through the last 90s. And also, I never said the attitude era was the standard, I was saying that so many of the fans here prefer the attitude era over todays wrestling, and I was pointing out that we cant have that era anymore, and that even today, wwe isnt that bad.

And again, I never slammed TNA's womens division. All i said was that IMO, WWE has improved in a lot of areas lately, and thats one of them. TNA can have as many womens divisions they want on their shows, I never said they couldnt, all I said was that Im happy with the way the WWE womens division is going...

Anyways, the poiont of this thread, wasnt to flame or attack any company or fans... In fact, this whole thread was stating the positive AND negatives of the WWE right now. Positives are in red, negatives in blue, and then at the end, I pointed out that in my opinion, theres more positives in wwe right now than negatives.
Thats MY opinion, go ahead and have yours, Im not going to stop you from having one.

For the record though, dont try to tell me when Im "mad" because seeing as Im tthe one typuing this, Im sure I can tell if Im mad or not, thanks for coming though:) :2up:

1st wicked read and good thread :).
I pretty much agree with most of what you said wwe state is OK IMO. And yeah they will never get back the attitude ere simple as that thing change and ppl need to realise that and move on, like the saying goes to much of a good thing and all that. But like you said they are trying new things and some things work some things don't that's life it trail and error. You have ppl banging on for new stars to take the reigns and for the old one's to move over HHH,HBK,TAKER just some examples and that fine id like to see new guys break through but what happens if they cant do it cant get over, WWE need the veteran's like HBK HHH TAKER for 1 for all the hardcore old school fans/marks whatever you wanna call em who pay there money just to see these 3 guys alone and 2nd who will they fall back on if the new guys cant get over or fuck up like the Hardy's regals of the world.
YEAH have ya new guys break through but you still need old guys in the mix also cpl over years from now when Taker HBK HHH are gone you will have Cena Orton Hardy's and the same will be said about them.

Also i blame the Internet for a lot of the neg stuff in WWE, Cos of spoilers and shit ppl know whats happening before it goes on air and that sorta kills the excitement of the live show. Also smarks are another breed that are negative about WWE. IMO its the day and age we live now and a lot of old core fans are stuck in a time warp and wont move on. But i still love watching and probs always will, Don't get me wrong i loved the old days and id have em back 2mrw but shit happen, changes and you gotta move on if you like it watch if you don't DONT switch over simple as.

Agreed....WWE has been kicking some ass recently
(from around August 07-nowadayz)

They've been putting on solid-to-good-to-great pay-per-views ,so far since Armageddon 07 through Royal Rumble to NoWayOut to Wrestlemania 24 to backlash and judgement day and it looks like they might finally knock one outt've the park with the upcoming One Night Stand pay-per-view....so like...yea...I agree with MikeRaw here......

:lips: <so I guess that'd be my lips kissing this thread's cyber-cheeks(ass cheeks of course:ymca: )

and such.......oh yeah...
by the way, since i'm in the WWE discussion section :sport_box: <thats WWE beating tna...

on a off note: I consider myself wrestling's good luck charm...I mean when I was a kid and first started watching the shows
(around late 1997 to mid-2001) They were basically in their prime in the "attitude era" and such.....then i stopped watching them from around 02-06 and the shows mostly sucked.....(from what i've heard)

Basically they were kind've stale and a bit boring and the quality of pay-per-views went down and such with the whole brand extension....

roster seemed kind've stale....some talented people here and there...but c'mon...Heidenreich? orlando jorden?.....and all those people were the midcard-uppermidcarders back in those dayz.....

but since i've been back watching all the wrestling shows they've been GREAT!

interesting-intriging storylines, good booking, barely any brandextension, good to great ppvs....and MISSTTTTTERRRR KENNNNNNEEEDDDDY!!!!........KENNEDY!!!.....and uhh?...oh yeah...MVP!!!....P!

4.) things WWE SHOULD do:

1.) Re-build the Tag Team Division to what it once was, make both sets of Tag titles mean something to their repective brands.

2.) You're starting to get your stuff together with the women's division, please keep it up. Not every diva should be about tits and ass...Set them apart the wrestling divas (Melina, Beth, Mickie, NN, Victoria, so on) and the whores (Ashley, Maria, Kelly Kelly, Layla, so on...Not to get anyone confused, I do like whores tho :y: )

3.) Intercontinental Championship/United Championship - Make them mean something..PLEASE! Jericho has just been carring the belt around for the past 80+ days with only 2 defences of it...Matt Hardy, who FINALLY won the United States Championship at Backlash has been left off the last two PPVs..stupid move and way to make the title seem like an after thought (for both guys)

4.) Stop putting on the same matches! Give us something new for once, I don't know about yall but I don't want to see HHH/Orton or Taker/Edge every month no matter how good the matches are.
