Early Years
Cooper, the younger brother of film star Steven Cooper, was born in Blackpool, England along with his brother until they moved to Los Angeles when he was 11 years old. Robert has been a fan of wrestling since he was a kid, he says he grew up idolising British Bulldog and Bret Hart. He trained with the British Bulldog up until his death in 2002. Robert says this made him more determined to become a wrestler and do it for Davey Boy Smith, who he claimed was like a father to him.
Professional Wrestling Career

On May 8th, it was announced that Robbie Starr had signed a contract with the WWF along with boxer Lloyd Williams (Floyd Mayweather) and they together with Stevie Starr formed Starrdom Nation. They soon made their debuts on the May 27th edition of Smackdown in a match against Too Cool, which they won and due to winning that match, they would go on to face the Internationalz at Wrestlemania II to determine the number one contenders for the WWF Tag Team Championships. At Wrestlemania they lost to the Internationalz (Robert Cash & Dal Knox). After Wrestlemania, when the brand split came about they were sent to Smackdown but Stevie Starr was sent to Raw. Although on the first Raw after Mania, Robbie and Lloyd had to beat the Internationalz in order to keep their jobs and they went on to win. On the first Smackdown after the brand split, Robbie and Lloyd beat Too Cool and Eddie Edwards and Johnny Red in a triple threat tag team match. The following Smackdown, Starrdom Nation had a massive victory over the established team of the Body Count. On the July 4th edition of Raw, Starrdom Nation beat newly formed tag team RipperCussions (Darren Pesinger and Jack Ripper) as they were drafted to Raw just before Summer Assault. At Summer Assault, Starrdom Nation were the second team to enter a Five-Team Gauntlet for the WWF Tag Team Championships. They beat the Body Count who were the first team to enter, they then beat the Bash Brothers and then beat Internationalz to face the final team which was the tag champions, the Titans of Wrestling. Thanks to a little bit of help from Stevie Starr, Starrdom Nation came out on top and became WWF Tag Team Champions after less than two months with the WWF.
On the August 8th episode of Raw, Stevie Starr threw a party to celebrate Starrdom Nation become tag champs but it was interrupted by Shaun Knight. Later that night, all three members of Starrdom Nation beat the The Toshideden Dragons (Shinobi, Funaki, & Komodo Dragon). The following week, Robbie (with Stevie and Lloyd at ringside) beat Kable. The next week, Robbie was at ringside as Lloyd was in a triple threat match against Kable and Shaun Knight, the latter winning the match after pinning Lloyd. The same week on Smackdown it was announced that Starrdom Nation would defend the tag titles against the Titans of Wrestling and RipperCussions in a triple threat tag team match at Vendetta. When Vendetta came around, Starrdom Nation lost the titles to RipperCussions. The following night on Raw, all three members of Starrdom Nation lost to Alex Star, Shaun Knight and Kable. The following week on Smackdown, both Lloyd and Robbie were placed in a Money in the Bank Qualifier along with both members of RipperCussions, a match which was won by Jacob Nevermore. A few days later on Raw, Robbie and Lloyd beat Alex Star and Shaun Knight in a tag team match. The same week on Smackdown, all three members of Starrdom Nation lost out to RipperCussions and Evan Bourne in a Triple Threat Tornado Tag match. At Collision Course, Robbie and Lloyd got a rematch for the tag titles against RipperCussions but ended up losing in a match that was a contender for WWF Match of the Year.
On the October 16th edition of Raw, Robbie and Lloyd teamed up with D.J Bratt to face Barry Jones and The Toshideden Dragons (Funaki and Shinobi), a match with they lost. Days later it was announced that Lloyd would be leaving the company in the coming months. On the following Raw, Robbie and Lloyd teamed up for the last time and beat Christopher Daniels and John Black. 6 days later at Nightmare in Toronto, Stevie offered rival Alex Star a place in Starrdom Nation and Alex accepted. The following Raw, Lloyd appeared to tell Robbie that his contract was expired and he would not be appearing in the WWF again. The same night, Robbie teamed up with Alex Star to beat the Brothers of Steel. One week later, just before a match with WWF Champion and brother in-law Shaun Knight, Robbie found out that his sister was pregnant with Shaun's baby. Robbie then beat Shaun in a match later that night thanks to Stevie interfering. The following week, Robbie faced Shaun in a rematch in which Stevie was banned from ringside, Shaun came out with the win.
On the first and only PWA Raw, Robbie teamed up with new partner Vincent Price and Stevie to face Shaun Knight and the Brothers of Steel in a winning effort. On the 23rd January edition of Warzone, Robbie and Vincent were named as the number one contenders for the PWA Tag Team Championships at the Royal Rumble. At the Royal Rumble, Robbie and Vincent lost to the Brothers of Steel by DQ. Later in the night Robbie entered the Royal Rumble match at number three but was eliminated by Max Knight a few minutes later. On the final PWA show, Robbie and Vincent lost to Sicc Nick in a handicap match.
Alternative Championship Wrestling
Robbie along with Ray (perviously Vincent) Price signed for ACW and on the 18th June edition, Robbie was placed in a fatal four along with Billy Bradley, El Loko and Jack Ripper. Before the match, El Loko was taken out causing the match to become a triple threat, Robbie lost the match to Jack Ripper. After the match Ray and Robbie attacked both of the Bradley Boys. One week later, they faced the Bradley Boys in a tag team match and won by knock out when Darren Pesinger hit Leroy Bradley with a steal chair after Robbie ducked out of the way when the ref's back was turned.
