Our 20th Classic PPV Live Discussion is here and we're going to do it big with, arguably, one of the most famous wrestling PPVs of all time: Starrcade 1997. The show is both WCW's highest grossing PPV of all time, as well as a show considered by many to be the beginning of WCW's decline. Is that true? Well, who's to say? I'm not here to fight about it, I'm here to watch this classic PPV and discuss it live with my pals.

On this show, we have the culmination of a year long feud between Sting and the nWo, as Sting challenges Hollywood Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, Curt Hennig defending the United States Championship against Diamond Dallas Page, Eddie Guerrero defending his Cruiserweight Championship against Dean Malenko, Goldberg taking on Steve "Mongo" McMichael, and Larry Zbyszko battling Eric Bischoff for control of WCW's flagship show, Nitro! All that and more!

Everything about this show's build and presentation is hype af. From the Hollywood style video package at the start of the show for the main event to the entrance of Sting from the title match. W're talking 18 solid months of build. Unheard of in this era of wrestling or since. This has to be the GOAT wrestling angle of all-time for me and I'm pumped to witness it with all the smarks and smarkettes here this evening. Blow-off criticisms aside.
