Backstory: Hailing from Ukio in the Outer Rim Territories, Mariya became consumed by the message of Count Dooku during the beginning of the Separatist Crisis. Ukio was the breadbasket of the Republic, and what did it have to show for it? Nothing close to what it deserved, clearly, as the planet had been neglected by the government for decades. As the Clone Wars began, Mariya enlisted as an engineer for Confederate military. This is where she got her scars. Accidents while working on engines tend to make one's face less desirable. She survived, nevertheless, and received her cybernetic implants sometime thereafter. When the war came to a close with the Confederacy collapsing from three long years of war and the obliteration of its leadership, Mariya watched in horror as a new form of tyranny arose on Coruscant. An emperor? A single man from across the galaxy gets to dictate the affairs of her homeworld? Preposterous! As a successor state to the Galactic Republic - its iron fist with a stranglehold around the necks of formerly CIS planets - the Galactic Empire's destruction naturally became the Mariya's new purpose in life. Mariya desires the liberation of Ukio and the reestablishment of the Confederacy free from the oppression of the Core Planets.
Immediately after Ukio's capitulation to the Galactic Empire, resistance groups began to band together to make military occupation hell for the Imperials. Ruthless midnight purges saw the resistance's numbers rapidly drop, ultimately to the point where Mariya was forced to flee Ukio uncertain of what the future held for her and her dream of bringing down Palpatine's Galactic Empire.
Weapons/Vehicles: Custom armor based off super battle droid designs featuring a jetpack and wrist rockets, E-5 blaster rifle, SE-15 blaster pistol, a vibroknife, and various engineer tools. And yes, she has casual clothes. It wouldn't make sense for her to run around in public with her armor on unless she was planning on a battle.
Starting Area: To be determined. With Zap's permission, I'd like her to be on Jak Jambore's ship, either as a stowaway or after paying him to get her off Ukio.
