February 16th IMPACT Episode
-Bobby Roode opened up the show gloating about his victory against his three opponents at Against All Odds. He is eventually interrupted by Sting who announces that tonight, Roode will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Jeff Hardy in a No DQ Match. He said that he hopes Roode is ready because that match is next!

-Bobby Roode defeated Jeff Hardy in a No DQ Match when Kurt Angle interfered. Hardy was about to hit his Swanton but Angle showed up and went after Hardy. (They later re-taped the finish where Angle attacked Hardy on the outside leading to Roode hitting a Spear for the win.)

-James Storm defeated Bully Ray in a #1 Contender's Match with a Last Call. After the match, Ray jumped Storm before New York Giants player, Brandon Jacobs showed up and had a faceoff with Ray. TNA Agents came in to separate the two before things really got out of hand.

-Austin Aries and Zema Ion defeated Alex Shelley and Shannon Moore in a tag team match. Aries was about to hit his Brainbuster on Shelley when Ion made a blind tag. While Shelley escaped the move, he got rolled up by Ion to give the heels the win. Shelley, Ion and Aries got into it before being separated.

-Madison Rayne won a 10-Knockout Battle Royal to earn a shot at Gail Kim's Title. Velvet Sky eliminated Sarita and thought she won when Madison Rayne (who was sitting with Gail Kim at ringside) came in and eliminated her.
Order of elimination:
1. Winter
2. Brooke Tessmacher
3. Rosita
4. Mickie James
5. ODB
6. Tara
7. Angelina Love
8. Sarita
9. Velvet Sky

-Eric Bischoff, Ric Flair, Gunner and a woman came to the ring. (I have been told this woman is Chelsea, the former valet for Desmond Wolfe) Bischoff said a few final things about Garett Bischoff implying that his career was over (Kayfabe-wise). Bischoff told Garett not to come back.

-Sting comes out and calls out Bobby Roode. Sting announces that Bobby Roode will defend the World Heavyweight Title against James Storm in a Steel Cage at Lockdown. Bobby attacks Sting and lays him out with the championship belt.

February 23rd IMPACT Episode
-James Storm and Brandon Jacobs are in the ring for a promo. Jacobs talks about how he has alot in common with James Storm. He calls out Bully Ray, who obliges. Ray trash talks Jacobs about how he did poorly in the Superbowl. Bully Ray declines fighting Jacobs. Jacobs said if he isn't coming to the ring then he will take the fight to him. Jacobs chases Bully Ray to the back.

-James Storm and Jeff Hardy faced Bully Ray and Kurt Angle in a tag team match. Beforehand, Storm brought out Brandon Jacobs who stood in their corner. A table was introduced during the match which concluded with Jacobs Chokeslamming Bully Ray through a table. He told Ray on the mic "Sorry Bout' Your Damn Luck." Storm and Jacobs then celebrated.

Storm VS Roode @ Lockdown, best build for a feud that TNA has done in years. Started the build late last year and have slowly built it up to the payoff match, simple booking 101

Very happy to see that they have finally gone back to Storm vs. Roode for the title. They did it for a bit last year but then quickly jumped off that bandwagon.

Jeff vs. Angle is a feud I hadn't considered but it would be an interesting mesh of completely different styles.

This Roode/Storm angle is the only reason I have started watching TNA. They have done a solid job booking it as they didn't shove it down our throats and now we get to see a hell of a steel cage at Lockdown.

Spoilers from last nights taping:

PWInsider said:
On Tuesday night, Impact Wrestling taped the remainder of its February 23rd episode.

Bobby Roode comes to the ring and says that it is a great day to be the World Champion. Roode wants to talk about what happened last week with Sting. Roode mentions that Sting talked about how he is done on Twitter.

The people in the Impact Zone want Sting to come out, but Roode continues and he says that the crowd will get to say their goodbyes to him later. Roode wants to talk about himself, not Sting. Roode starts to talk about being the fans’ World Champion and then he talks about how ending Sting’s career was not only the biggest accomplishment of his career, but it is the biggest accomplishment of his life.

Roode talks about how Harley Race, Lex Luger, Vader, Hulk Hogan, and Ric Flair could not get rid of Sting, but ‘The IT Factor’ Bobby Roode got it done. Roode has a message for Sting for when he comes out later tonight to say his goodbyes, ‘Don’t let the door hit you on the ass on the way out.’

Match Number One: Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions Samoa Joe and Magnus defeated Matt Morgan and Crimson to retain their titles after Crimson accidentally hit Morgan which was followed by the snap mare into an elbow drop from Magnus.

After the match, Crimson walked out on Morgan.

Match Number Two: Zema Ion defeated Alex Shelley with Bible Black after spraying his hair spray in Shelley’s eyes when the referee was out of position.

During the match, Impact Wrestling X Division Champion Austin Aries came to ringside to watch the match and he brought some popcorn and wine to enjoy his time at ringside.

Match Number Three: Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Gail Kim defeated ODB (with Eric Young) with Eat Defeat in a non-title match.

After the match, Madison Rayne came to the ring to celebrate with her fellow Knockouts Tag Champion but Gail did not want to celebrate with Madison.

Match Number Four: AJ Styles defeated Impact Wrestling Television Champion Robbie E (with Robbie T) by disqualification when Kazarian pulled Styles off the apron. Daniels accompanied Kazarian to the ring.

Sting comes to the ring and he says that because there is too much to handle, he is done. Bobby Roode’s music plays and the Impact Wrestling World Champion comes to the ring. Roode says that he wants to apologize for interrupting, but he could not help himself. Roode says that he needs to stand beside Sting when Sting announces that he is done.

Sting says that Roode did not win any war or battle and it helped him out. Sting gets some face paint and puts it on his face. Instead of giving up, Sting says that Roode woke him up and he feels alive.

Sting says that there will be no more mister nice guy and that he is going to put on his boots, his tights, and war paint. He vows to kick the living crap out of Roode at Victory Road.

Roode tries to kick Sting in the groin but Sting blocks the kick and Sting kicks Roode in the groin.

Sting tells Roode that he needs to follow the yellow brick road to Victory Road before telling Roode ‘ta ta’ and he throws the mic at Roode.

One thing I didn't read before in Ben's post, until now, was the fact that Chelsea maybe back in TNA.

I always marked for her when she was with Nigel. So if it turns out to be true, then I might just watch that segment on this weeks Impact.

Sting-Roode is unnecessary but I kinda like where everything else is heading. Roode-Storm at Lockdown was always going to happen. Aries-Ion-Shelley development is ggod. Angle-Hardy has potential and Magnus and Joe are solid as champs.

Show sounds shit, will probably only give the Roode and Storm parts a watch. I love Roode tbh.
