Yeah I cannot say I am excited for this at all. He got dropped by MLW not too long ago for big leaguing and refusing creative so hopefully this isn't long term

I Have come to the realization that managers are usually best used for vibes and stories rather than used for someone who can't talk. All.the best manager runs these days are paired with ppl that can talk . Brock is like the outlier that this point ?

Yeah I think it's just a fallacy at this point. If the guy can't talk and they aren't going to have a manager forever then they still won't be able to talk when the manager is gone. Brock is the outlier bc he never didn't have Heyman, and that was his call, he did one promo alone when he returned in 2012 and said nah bring Paul back lol he had been gone like 5 years at that point and now he's like HHH's #2

Exactly right on your first point, a manager won't suddenly make a guy a competent mic worker and you also risk stuff like the manager bring over but the act is not the second the manager leaves

That whole situation was weird tho, the creative he allegedly refused was a world title match and his side was he couldn't make that booking and they didn't even tell him it was for a title and they wanted him in the main event until he informed them he wouldn't be there.

His side made more sense to me in that case and I wasn't really r

Or what did happen to Paul Heyman for a bit when Brock wasnt around, his clients weren't stars anymore and that hurt his own prestige

Heyman probably was at his best with them two, and I'd even throw in Punk. I liked that pairing back in the day also.

I’d say Callis with Take is a current example

Okada id argue was promoing just fine on his own . Fletch can definitely cut promos too he's actually quite good n will only improve .

All that said, there's not THAT many ppl in the majors that straight up sucks at promos anymore outside maybe a few outliers imo

while he is better than Take I think for a match of this magnitude having DC with him to really pump it up was the right move. Okada can’t talk shit in the volume and speed that DC can.

And when I said I wasn’t sure about Kyle I only meant I couldn’t personally remember at this time if he was or not

He works better for serious Okada with a manager . He had Gedo the majority of his run on top in japan too. Elevates how important he is
