... I can only laugh at that vignette, because it feels like they had a meeting about what they gonna do with the MCMG and someone in creative was like "What's the team called? Motor City Machine Guns? Okay, fuck it. Motor City means cars, Machine Guns means police."

That one feels really old school WWE thinking, where they take one little thing from a talent, be it the name or some other characteristic of theirs and try to make that their whole gimmick, because they just don't really care about it, or don't know how to book that talent.

That's just my first thoughts about this though. I do think Shelley and Sabin were at least in some way involved in working this out.

Of course. They don't really need to do anything "special" with them... but it just reminded me of how they did these things often enough in the past.
