I don't really want to see him heel. Heel's are always buried in the WWE. CM Punk will go back to being his old heel self (which people liked, but he was never really over) despite him being a perfectly fine babyface.

I guess the WWE needs heels, and with Orton returning that means the WWE is covered in the babyface department with guys like Cena, HHH, Rey, Orton and Sheamus.

It has to be a heel turn, there is no other reason why Punk would hide in the corner whilst a heel attacks Cena, it is a heelish thing to do and a weak thing for the champion to do. The GTS on The Rock sealed the deal that he turned heel, he let The Rock deal with the big threat in Big Show and then snuck up from behind to get rid of him. Plus Punk not celebrating the win and walking off without interacting with fans made it pretty clear he turned. I expect him to go on about Cena maineventing all PPVs and the WWE championship not being featured at the top at all.

I've said for several years now that Heel and Face status mean jack squat anymore. Danielson's "Heel" run as the most over guy on Smackdown proves it. Miz's HUGE face pop when he beat Christian on Raw1000 proves it. Stone Cold proved it. Hell, CM PUnk proved it last year. He WAS playing heel when all this started last year, if anyone cares to remember.

The Fans will continue to cheer who they like, wrestling's fake, no big deal. The WWE will continue to go overboard trying to keep them in the Heat and they'll fail and then turn him face again. Much like Orton's face turn a few years ago. They held off as long as possible until it was 1000% Clear the "WWE UNiverse just LOVED that boring sob. Face turn.

Watch his PPV matches with Hardy, Mysterio, and Taker if you want to disagree. It says a lot how they were the main event over Cena- Orton. I know Taker came out at the end but still Cena-Orton were WWE's prized guys yet Hardy-Punk was still the main event.
