I'm on holiday for two weeks after Friday, I'm going to spend entire days on this

Anyone else get a chance to play yet? I’m about 30% done and it’s pretty fucking awesome unsurprisingly

I love how you can swing around the city, spot an ongoing crime and when you get there you can see the other Spider-Man or Wraith fighting thugs and help them.

You can move around the city so fast that I barely use the fast travel anymore. One thing is for sure, I won't be able to play the first game ever again, it will seem so slow and limited. Just like going back to Arkham Asylum after playing Knight.

I never had that issue with Asylum bc it was so different of a map even if it was more small and limited, games were different enough they're both fun for me to go back.

This one basically having the same map I can see it, especially if all the changes are improvements. Once I beat the story and got all the collectibles I never felt like replaying the first anyway

There were so many new gadgets in the sequels and it was so much faster to go around with the grappling boost or the car that playing Asylum really felt slow and limited for me.

Playing with the symbiont powers is really fun. After playing Miles Morales I was afraid Peter would feel a lot less powerful than Miles who has those cool electric powers but it's actually the opposite now. The multiple grab attack is great.

Arkham Asylum is the best entry in the series. Definitely a different feel than the other games but i get what you mean.

For me it’s going back and playing Mass Effect after you have played the sequels

Yeah I love open world games but if done correctly, games set in a fixed space can be amazing too and Arkham Asylum is the perfect example of that.

Asylum is my favorite game in the series plot-wise. It just feels a bit wooden gameplay-wise after doing this for 35 hours :

I was never shitting on the game of course.

They killed off a bunch of villains as Kraven hunted them, including my all time favourite Scorpion

Those are characters we won't see again in SM3 and it's a damn shame.

Edit : some players went out of bounds and found some cut content indicating that Kraven also killed Rhino

The whole lizard chase was amazing.
