Especially since WWE's track record with race isn't anywhere near flawless. How long ago was it that the New Day was just a gospel choir?

Stereotyping people isn't nearly the same as being racist.

Oh no not the black talent thing.

I honestly can say, and I'm not a racist, that the black talent hasn't been that great. I loved Booker T, Triple H burying him was a huge mistake. I loved Shelton Benjamin, phenomenal ring worker, terrible on the mic. Elijah Burke wasn't bad but I don't think he'd ever be a main event player. Shad & JTG's gimmick was stereotypical but they got over and had some great moments together. I wouldn't call Prime Time Players racist or stereotypical, it's actually two funny black guys together with a decent gimmick. That being said though heel Titus >>>> face Titus.

Marcus Cor Von had a nasty spear, or pounce, whatever they called it. But he was boring. Lashley wasn't bad in the ring but his mic work was bleh. Mark Henry was never billed as anything terribly racist or stereotypical, unless you count sexual chocolate, which I don't, thought that was funny. New Day is the best tag team in the WWE right now, they aren't a stereotype at all IMO, all three of them are great in the ring and on the mic. I'll admit that billing Kofi Kingston as the rastabumbaclotwagwan guy was a bad move, but hey, live and learn, they fixed that now at least.

I agree and this is the type of thing that I've been telling people forever now. Setting aside the fact that the ratio of white-to-black wrestlers is disproportionate anyway, it's not like there's some long list of black superstars who were just waiting to break through and set the industry on fire before they were all oppressed and held down by "Da Man" instead. A guy like Bobby Lashley was even pushed hard as the potential next big thing (people didn't used to nickname him Black Lesnar for no reason) and was booked in the prime spot of Wrestlemania 23 as part of the Donald Trump thing and into a WWE Title feud with Cena shortly after, and what happened? He left the company of his own volition. For all anyone knows, he may have already been a world champion by now if he hadn't left. When Booker T. was World Heavyweight Champion in 2006 as King Booker, he headlined three PPVs as champion (No Mercy, Cyber Sunday, Survivor Series), four if we're counting Great American Bash where he won the title. And this was a time when the WHC was seen on (near) equal terms with the WWE Championship. Ahmed Johnson was a hot prospect in 1996 as well, but his injuries and apparent inability to avoid hurting people in the ring caused his downfall.

Many people can be full of racism until somebody of color rescues or helps them in their time of need. Hulk must have been speaking from his heart but the day may come when the only other person who understands your pain may be a person of color.

WWE ought to have the integrity to feed him with a long handled spoon until they are certain he can control what he says.

Hogan is dumb as shit. He knows he is in the spotlight and a huge icon for a business. You can't say that shit when you are Hulk Hogan. It is bad enough if me and you would be caught saying something like that. He deserves everything that has happened already to him and also the things to come.

Another gem from Hogan:

“Bi-racial President Obama uses N word, is applauded and keeps his job. @HulkHogan uses N word, is vilified and loses his job.”

Context, can you see a difference between the following two statements:

The president said:
“Racism, we are not cured of it. And it’s not just a matter of it not being polite to say Nope in public. That’s not the measure of whether racism still exists or not. It’s not just a matter of overt discrimination. Societies don’t, overnight, completely erase everything that happened 200 to 300 years prior.”

while Hogan said:
“I mean, I’d rather if [Brooke] was going to fuck some Nope, I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall Nope worth a hundred million dollars! Like a basketball player! I guess we’re all a little racist. Fucking Nope.”
