- There is said to be no laid out program for Brock Lesnar now that the feud with Triple H is over. Some people in the know within WWE are strongly speculating that WWE goes with a babyface CM Punk vs. Lesnar much sooner than later, with the idea of Heyman turning on Punk.
People who always say the "Punk is too small to face Lesnar" crap(the only complaint iv'e heard about this feud) also usually want Lesnar to face undertaker. Cause him facing a 50 year old capable of 1 match per year is much more "believable".
Eddie Guerreo was small. A LOT smaller than Lesnar. He had some great matches with Brock. So i'm not really seeing the problem.

I'd be on board for this. Seems to me like a win-win for the fans, Punk fans get to see him "shoot" on Lesnar and angry Punk/Heyman promos, while Punk haters get to see Lesnar beat the crap out of him. And if it happens around Summerslam or Survivor Series, Brock's still open at Mania for his Rock or Taker match. So why not?

The idea probably sounds cringeworthy to some, but now that we're hopefully done with the Rock/Cena and Brock/HHH extended programs and rematches, it'd be good if I could get something nice.

Moved to discussion as this isn't really news or even a rumor. It's the wrestling worlds equivalent of Fox News "some people say". This is the same type of BS story I'd write when I worked for "news" sites.

Personally I've no interest in it at this point as their is no motivation. What's the cause. Why would either want to have the match with the other? There are others that would benefit more from a Lesnar feud that would make more sense.

True there are others who could use that rub more than Punk, but I think the fued can easily make sense. Punk returns and assumes business will return to usual because he's still one of Heyman's guys. He's taken time off to think and heal, now Paul's gonna help him get that title back.

... Except that Paul isn't interested in Punk anymore, after such a big loss to The undertaker, two to The Rock and all the shenanigans needed to keep Punk the champion. So when Punk comes knocking, Heyman decides he isn't worth it and dumps his stock, knowing Lesnar is more dependable and likely to win the championship. The Lesnar/Punk fued is pretty easy to set up from here, possibly by costing Brock a title match or getting in his business.

It echoes what Mick Foley said to Punk when he was first getting involved with Heyman, something like: "At the end of the day, Paul Heyman is just doing what's best for Paul Heyman". It's pretty easy to book, it's a fresh scenario, it shouldn't be hard to schedule, the matches and promos should be decent at least and it leaves the title scene with John Cena wide open for whoever else they want to push. Anything involving Cena and a title is guaranteed to main event anyway.

I know it isn't what some people want or are particularly interested in, but there's definately a solid foundation for it work and it couldn't be worse than a lot of the other possibilities.

That's a good plan and that would work but I think that same plan would work with Curtis Axel a bit better. But you're right that would make sense.

Eddie wasn't small, pudgy, and average joe looking either.

As for the feud itself it has to be a rape by Brock unless they do heel vs heel, as Punk as a face has never worked more than anything like a flavor of the month.

If Punk got any offence in the whole match would be a sham and turn people away.

Only correct way to book would be a Brock squash. I like Punk better as a face than a heel though so hope he turns on return, really don't want this feud though, such a waste of Brock.

Rather see them team up first before seeing them feud with each other. Seems inevitable to do both of those things given how close Heyman is with both guys.

Not really "team-up" so to say, but fuck, at least acknowledge that Heyman manages someone else, I don't think either of them realize the other exists.

I'm for the feud, the Heyman dynamic would be very interesting.

Yeah I always found it weird that they haven't crossed paths and don't ever hear them mention the other. Can't tell if they are purposely doing this or doing it without even realizing that they have been pretty much keeping them isolated from acknowledging each other. Comes off like a sports agent who manages multiple guys but all the guys are on different teams.

Ding ding ding.

Promo work would be phenomenal, matches will look as silly as Rock selling for Punk. And lol @ Eddie being small, his roided up frame was built like a fridge.

I'm of the Punks too small opinion. Brock is a super athlete and a giant of a man. The matche(s) have to be booked as 90% Brock just mauling Punk. Punk can fire off one kick or something then just get F5'd.

When he does come back, I think Punk should be a tweener because as a fully fledged face he's horrible as witnessed by his content during his feud with Johnny Ace.

Have him come back and do his business without Heyman alongside him or mentioning him, same deal with Heyman. Have one of them interrupt the others promo one week, Punk can talk about how he hadn't received any contact from Heyman since taking a hiatus and how he's replaced the 'Best In The World' with someone who is only in the WWE because he's a third generation star. Maybe have him take a jab at Brock to set up a feud later on. Heyman can say that Punk WAS the BITW for X amount of days, but after losing the title he barely won a match since, lost on the grandest stage of them all and took a break out of embarassment.

Have a nice back and forth feud with Axel/Punk for a couple of months with them trading wins on PPV but Punk eventually coming out on top. It gives Punk something to do upon his return, gives Axel his first meaningful feud against a former decorated champion and builds towards a big match with Brock.
