South Park Will Make It to Season 20

Here’s something to smile about: Comedy Central has reached a deal with Trey Parker and Matt Stone to produce at least three more seasons of South Park, which will bring the series to Season 20. The two will continue to write, direct and edit all of the episodes, saying in a statement: “Comedy Central has been our home for 15 years and we love working there. South Park is a blast and we can't wait to make more."

This actually puts South Park within spitting distance of The Simpsons, currently in its twenty-third season and holder of the title of longest-running TV comedy in history. After a very public negotiations dispute with the cast, The Simpsons was extended for another two seasons, guaranteeing it 25 years on the air.

Glad to see this happening, I always watch South Park when I want a laugh. Great show and can't wait to see their new ideas.

Surprised to see them get renewed for that many seasons at once but I am glad that they will continue. South Park is one of the few cartoons that has actually improved as time went on unlike most cartoons which were better in the early seasons.

Haven't really watched Southpark too much the last couple of years. I used to love the show.

So, is it safe to assume that a South Park citizen’s unfortunate accident involved “falling in� Now everyone’s privacy, in what should be about as private a moment as a person should be able to have, may be in jeopardy.

I have no idea how the title fits into all of this, but we’ll find out on Wednesday night!

why would it be? it's still one of the funnier shows in tv...last years human centipad episode was one of they best they have ever done

Yeah, they hit a few rough patches every now and then, but they've still been having some top episodes as well.

I've never watched an entire season of South Park I don't think, maybe one of the very early ones. I always used to catch random episodes of it and loved it. Just one of those shows you can randomly drop in to, laugh and have a great time. For sure one of the funniest animated shows I've watched.
